I started off as an engineering major and I thought there weren't enough girls... then I switched to Computer Science. You engineering kids don't know how good you have it.

In my grade, there is ONE other Physics major (f*ck engineering). Though I don't share the same characteristics as the other physics majors.

I have seen like 5-10 attractive women here, which is a real down step from high school.

This is mostly because numerical intelligence is not the whole intelligence. A highly intelligent person is someone who have good analytical skills in decision making process, and that comprises a lot of things. In fact, is advantageous for some goals ( as find a right girl, gt better response in a social environment) to look neat, attractive and handsome. So, the paradigm of the nerd guy who do a lot of things behind a computer but is ugly as the guy in he picture, well, he is not a intelligent guy, is only good in computers...

This sounds like a baised irrational response. The idea of being able to get a mate and create an image is not the whole intelligence. There are different goals that one can choose to do with their intelligence. There are quite some nerds who are probably more fanciated by computers and stuff rather than lovemaking. And they are pretty smart, I would think much smarter than someone who was slightly above average but able to get mates well.

That's relative. But the general wisdom is that fundamental part of your whole life,as a social being that all we are, is to find a suitable partner, the best one possible that you can get . You can realize it or not, but usually intelligent people tend to make good decisions, and this is one of the two most important decision in life.."with who I'm going to share my life?". The other fundamental question is "What I'm doing to do for living?. If you make a good choice in both question, well, most probable you will have a happy life.

Being alone is a partial answer, but not the definitive one, not the definitive right one in any case. And the making love, even if is helthy, fun and very enlightening, is just part of the process that you should apply in order to have a partner with who you are willing to share a life with.

Intelligence isn't everything!! you need to be hard working to suceed in life. Take me for example, I have a univeristy exam in 3 hours, but can't bloody concentrate on it so lazy old me gets distracted by a stupid discussion on a gaming website!!! lol I know I won't get the grade I can achieve but rather the one my work ethnic allows for, effecting my job prospects.
