I'm pretty sure I'm right, so I'll ask a new question
The Cubs "Curse of the Billy Goat" has been claimed to go since thier last world series win, however, it was in fact started in the last time they've been in a world series, What was the year of the Cubs last World Series? and Who did they lose to?

He is the Gridiron Gang leader...you'd think he knows his stuff.misterman10 wrote:Probably cause you looked it upCheesemore wrote:I'm pretty sure I'm right, so I'll ask a new question
But I'm sure it was 1945. Neph got it right.

So... being the gridiron gang leader means nothing. It's just the fact that he assumed he was right and posted a new question that makes me suspicious.GreecePwns wrote:He is the Gridiron Gang leader...you'd think he knows his stuff.misterman10 wrote:Probably cause you looked it upCheesemore wrote:I'm pretty sure I'm right, so I'll ask a new question

wtf? If your sole contribution to this thread is going to be accusations of cheating, then please take your business elsewhere. Cheesemore knows his stuff. Just because you've never even heard of George Blanda (or Derrick Thomas, for that matter), doesn't mean others had to look it up.misterman10 wrote:So... being the gridiron gang leader means nothing. Hey Misterman10, did you ever think since he tied the record last week, that people would mention he's close to tying George Blanda's int record?since he already broke the TD record, they were waiting for him to break the INT record, and they do mention the current record Holder every once in a whilemisterman10 wrote:So... being the gridiron gang leader means nothing. Anyway the question I asked is 1/2 right, they did lose to the Tigers, but I don't think it was 1945, but it was close, I belive it happened in 1946, anyway, you're up Nephilim
and Thank you for defending me Greece and Incandenza

Pretty much...spurgistan wrote:By all this arguing you mean people telling MM10 he's an idiot?
I mean its fairly easy to tell when someone looks up an answer, like the recent question about the Panthers backup DT from 'Bama, I would be very suspicious if someone got that, but my question was a very public question at the time...

sweet! i knew it was 1945 (looked it up to be sure, cheese, it was '45), but i just used a little process of elimination and guessed the tigers, can't believe i got that!
ya apparently in game 4 of that series, Billy Sianis, owner of a nearby tavern, bought 2 tickets to the game at Wrigley, one for himself and one for his goat. Cubs owner P.K. Wrigley had Sianis and his goat removed the park after a few innings, and Sianis placed a curse on the Cubbies. they lost the game, the series, and haven't been back to the Fall Classic since. crazy!
i need a trivia book like GK, i'm always having a hard time coming up w/ questions......
so i'm going w/ another homer question i guess: what did the university of alabama football team do on saturday that it hadn't done in almost 6 years?

well that would make sense, last weekend the home locker room was in MississippiIncandenza wrote:If it's not the tranny thing, then I don't know. But I do have it on good authority that a tranny was spotted lingering near the home locker room. It might've just been Mike Price in drag, tho.
yes i subscribe to the common folk theory that the neighbors just across the way are hopelessly backward, while we are normal (cf. Kentucky-W. Virginia, Miss.-Alabama)
the answer is: alabama won a game in which it came into the fourth quarter trailing. that's right, the tide had not come back to win the last quarter in almost 6 years.....one of the prime reasons Shula was canned!
incan, step up w/ something here......

It was Stephen Davis, anyone have that as the person that came to mind?
