He could say you're town to clear himself. We were already pretty much certain you were town, so by 'confirming' you, he can make himself look pro-town fairly easily. If he said you were scum, you'd know he was lying, and probably use your vig-kill on him.

Now where I hail from, it is absolutely unheard of to keep a skunk as a pet. And I can't imagine it's a popular choice down in the states, either.

Well first, I'm from Winnipeg, not the US, and iliad's from Oz, so I'm not sure who you're referring to with that, but whatev.

The US was just an example, though I doubt skunks are a mainstream choice of pet anywhere, really. And I'm still fairly new to this game, but in my experience, the tracker is a town role, not a third party one. Third party is things like jester, cult, or survivor; I've never seen a third party member with a town role.
Anyway, I'm still okay with the idea of a no-lynch, but I still don't think my odds of survival are very high. Ani may have gotten roleblocked, which is why you didn't see him target me last night. But, you can see if a scum targets me, correct? So either way, if I die, you'll have some sort of lead.

If he got roleblocked, I think he still would have shown up as targetting you. Now, if it were redirected he'd be targetting someone else, so that's a possibility. Also, scum's not so likely to try and kill you when I'm watching. I'm as likely a target as you, given your latest post.

The only thing worse than letting mafia get a free kill is lynching a non-mafiate and then letting the mafia have their pick. Ani, I trust you know who to protect when night falls? I'll be watching.

Quite frankly, it didn't turn out that badly. Lynching a survivor on day one is a lot less harmful than losing a power role, or even a vanilla townie. And for all we know, it weakened the cat somehow. It could have made simon open to investigation, as sometimes the godfather comes up as town (not this time!)

On a final note, maybe we should let Sam use his vig-kill on LSU. Browng, you're absolutely right that we can't afford to lynch a townie today, that would cost us the game. But if we go no-lynch, there's a reasonable chance I'll wind up dead overnight, and we won't be any farther forward. If Sam kills LSU, on the off-chance that he's a townie, we'll still have another chance to lynch scum before the game goes to the mafia.
