ALIEN INVASION!!!

It's the year 3022. War has raged for the last 50 years between the eastern hemisphere and the western hemisphere. This war has just now come to an end and eart is being unified. Putting aside Religion and Race, and working together to make a stronger planet. As The war ends, the leaders of earth elect 3 of 18 men and women to become the first Generals of the Newly founded MED (Militarized Earth Defense).

Mean while...

Light Years away, Aliens prepare to invade the only inhabited planet in galaxies (Earth). But before they do, they must choose who'm among them are prepared to lead them against the Humans. 18 of thier greatest leaders will face off until there are ony 3 left.

The 18 people for both the Aliens and humans will be split up into 3 groups of six randomly. Then, thier groups of 6 will compete on the classic map. The persons that win will move on to be on thier team of three.

Map configuration for the 6 man groups will be as follows:
standard
freestyle
escalating
unlimited
No fog

Once the teams of three are set, the aliens will invade earth! The three leaders from each side will fight as teams for control of earth on 6 of Earths continents maps. These will be tripples games! You'll have to work together to win this thing!

Each continent is worth 1-3 points. The first team to achieve 6 points wins the Alien invasion tournament.
The point system is as follows. (the order in which the maps will be played will be sellected randomly)

Asia 3 points
N.America 2 points
S.America 2 points
Africa 2 points
australia 1 point
Euorope 1 point

The construction of the tripples games will be as follows:
freestyle
no cards
chained
no fog

Finally, The winners of the tournament will have a final show down in free for all Clasic battle to decide who is the Conqueror of Earth!

The final game of the tournament will be constructed as follows:
Sequential
no cards
chained
w/fog of war

Welcome to the tournament forums

If you think that it's a worth tournament then run it

Set it up for sign ups and go for it

Otherwise if you are not interested running it then you should of left it to the ideas thread IMO because this sub-forum is for actual tournaments that are looking for people to join.

If you decide to run it then count me in $\:D/$

Oh, you didn't upset anyone. I should tell you that very few actually do anything besides look at something when it is posted in the Tournament Ideas thread. It is something I'm looking into adjusting in the coming weeks.

If you want a bit of discussion, here in the General Info, Q&A, Discussion Forum is the best place for it. Otherwise, you'll get flooded with guys wanting to sign up.

Are you interested in running it for yourself, or would you just like to see someone else run a tournament like that?

I dont know if anyone has suggested it before but it would maybe be cool to do some kind of boxing league as a group of 1v1s. In theory you could break up different kinds of maps as different weight divisons and have sort of ladder set ups for each title. You could even have numbers of different championships in each division and have top players unify. Or you could do divisions by ranks as well, with players moving up and down if their rank should rise or fall.

All the previous IronMan tournaments have been successful so I can't see why with the added addition and excitement of mist on the horizon it wont be popular!
