I just read your profile so I can now see why you think it's that simple. You're only in high school so what do you know about being responsible for deadlines? If you don't turn in your homework on time you'll only suffer a bad grade, if you don't make it in the real world you get fired.

As for your actual arguments: How will a couple of minutes a day make any difference to your schedule? The Muslim guy obviously manages it. Hell, you can continue working during your "prayer break", since your only problem was that the Muslim guy got extra breaks, which you will also have, but simply not take advantage of.
