the sanctuary can be awesome in the right hands. it has the easiest to take bonus directly from round 1 because the sanctuary can attack all blood waters. so deploy in sanct and attack them. also it is the easiest to defend even though it doesn't seem so. the sanctuary island will be a fortress with some big neutrals on the land. so basically the guy starting with the sanctuary just has to pile a big army on the sanctuary and from there it can attack all terits in his continent and take them back in case he's attacked. because the blood waters have a big decay (10 armies/turn) and because the ports can attack them only one way, basically each potential attacker falls into a trap. if he attacks a blood water and leaves huge troops there he will lose them to the decay and if he wants to go for the sanctuary he'll have to deal with a larger than average defence since all people have to defend in 2-4 points and the sanctuary has to defend in 1 point. so let's say that if the average number of troops each player has is 500 then it's safe to assume the sanctuary guy will have his 500 armies put on the sanctuary. or split between the sanctuary and url (so he can attack other docks from url)rebelman wrote:why would anyone want to take the sanctuary and its terrs surely these need more of a carrot to make them tempting

Also, the names of countries in the lava continent and in the north-east are a bit hard to read, maybe make them contrast better to the background or sharpen them up?

But.. even though it being a test and all... please remove the horrible lightning, now. It makes my eyes bleed and that is uncomfortable.

i'm thinking something new. i don't know exactly what the ideas are many. i want to make like several other side quests and stories within the main story.
like let's say a map of the sanctuary placed in the chapter 2 timeline, right when people fought to destroy the sanctuary and it's ice spell. it would be like an explanation for the things that triggered the events in chapter 3.
or a battle for mua castle in chapter 1. only this time the map is zoomed on the whole mua island and we have legions and troops in formations and we have various commanders and stuff.
or how about a story on how Troch the orc leader in chapter 3 came to power and how he battled other orc chieftains to get control of the orcs and unite them under one banner.
i'm also thinking to go beyond the portal to the realms from where all the creatures in chapter 3 came from. i'm thinking of a world on the brink of destruction who's only chance is opening this portal and getting out. with an objective like holding various spots (triggers) to open the portal. and it would include a mixture of decaying terits as well as killer neutrals to simulate the destruction of the world. or the neutral zombies if this feature is introduced by that time.

In terms of the spinoffs, I think that that idea would be SO awesome
