CC 2000+ MAJOR'S GAMES!

I got to say, this discussion is looking a lot like it has something at least to do with the Super Elite. Either you have standards that are enforced and a password circulated amongst a small group, which is what the Super Elite does, or you let the password filter out to anyone who briefly qualifies, or once qualified, or who has friends who think they deserve to qualify... and eventually everyone knows the password and it's like the old Elite system.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, really... just make a new password and a new thread. Very easy.

We were just considering to let people that proved themselves but are just bellow.

Now we need to let every colonel know that this exists and to encourage them to join.

i completely agree, and if people join and shouldnt...they probably run the risk of being attacked...its based on the honor system...if people want to disregard it, it says more about them really...if some private joins as a joke, it will be funny, but i dont think he'll have a good chance of winning...

No.

I mean that's pretty vague at best.

As it stand now most of the Colonels that start the games are Majors by the end. If you let players in with less than 2000 points we're going to end up with Captains in the game. And that just isn't right.

My only problem with enforcing the 2000 is that I made this to be different from the Super Elite, and it seems to be shaping up to look a lot like them. I started this with the intent to have a place where good players could go without fear of newbs or losing massive points, and Colonels came to mind. What I meant by "Colonel Material" was that they play just as good as any other Colonel, but might have dropped down to like 1900 or something.

That's fair enough, but as mr realbrown says, if you don't have some kind of definite cut off you could end up with anyone joining.

Plus, unlike the elite games there is no tournament person setting up games, so the best way to spot these games is to see private games with all colonels, which wouldn't work with a less strict admission policy.

If people dip below 2000 then there is still the elite games to join until you are back up.

On the contrary, the super elite are quite happy for majors to play once they are in... so these games might actually be the most exclusive in cc

it really is just easier to use 2000....the line has to be drawn somewhere anyways, so it might as well be there...if its at 2000, there wont be any questions

i think there would be more complaints about it being less than 2000 than complaints about it being 2000...and it makes us treasure our hat just a little more

and super elite will probably never have more than 40 or 50 members...and there will undoubtedly be a super super elite at some point too...as of now there area at least 100-120 able to play in the colonel games and there will be more every day
