As to what the medals should say, I really like using KoRT in the award title, for a very simple reason - we have cow pictures with KoRT titles on them in our combat training rooms, as motivation. It will take quite a while (there are a LOT of pictures!) to change them over to the new name, and that might distract us from winning this war. No one wants that to happen, do they? So to help TOFU stay focussed, and win this war, let us continue to fight the good fight with our old arch rivals, KoRT, and then when we redecorate, we'll go with the new name, and new (somewhat disturbing ) images...

I kept seeing a TOFU vs. S&M thread title show up when scrolling through the forum main page and couldn't for the life of me figure out who S&M was and how they were still alive in CC5. Guess I could've just clicked on the thread and gotten all of my CC clan gossip in one spot.

And Monkeys ... you should have merged with us instead. We're much nicer than KORT!

Officially it is not considered a merger. All those options / details were covered by the clans / CD's both in ACE and S&M situations

Guess I wasn't around for those discussions, but to me it would seem fine, but only if they kept the name. Now you have 2 complete clans and a name change. Isn't that a new clan? There should be detailed guidelines for this. Could 2 low ranked clans merge, change their name and start a new clan? It seems strange that you could potentially have same/ similar situations with a different result.

they are handled differently because that's the terms these clans negociated... Just like when companies merge or one absorbs another then decides to change the name... KORT bought all the TSM stocks!

interesting war! kort has a tendency to take their time on their wins, so it's always a bad idea to take the scoreboard for granted.

I am calling 31-29 win for TOFU at this point, putting the games with a small advantage to the team currently winning.
There's a few games that can turn easily, however.

Then there should be limitations on what the clans can negotiate in these situations. Your comment regarding BotFM is irrelevant because they're not absorbing/merging with any other clan. I personally think that a precedent should be set for these cases to be handled in only one way; either like ACE or S&M, and then in future all clans know.
