Re: TeamCC Open Applications
I think it's fine that you're asking for open applications, it seems to be making a lot of people happy that they have a shot at a colored name. I must admit that I don't have a clear sense of what you're looking for and what those people would be doing. I looked at the team cc list and you already have a roster of mods who appear to oversee a list of boards.
What would be the function of new team members? Are you looking for additional mods to oversee particular boards? Are you looking for people to create new roles on cc?

Re: TeamCC Open Applications
you know, since we are getting new mods anyway, would it be ok to have people sign up for a recommended spot?
ie: i want to volunteer for a mod position for say "Moderating Surrender Use." so if you thought creating a surrender button that requires mod approval is a good idea, then you would say "Ok we are going to think about this more and see if its even possible. If it is possible an its a good idea when held to high standards, then we will implement it and make you a mod."
(btw i dotn want to become a mod because A) i dont have enough time and i know mods put in a lot of time and hard work, and B) i dont always post like a mod should, some of my posts are borderline rule breaking tho i have never technically been punished.)

Re: TeamCC Open Applications
That's what the sugs and bugs forum is for.
If lack decided to implement it then I'm sure he would choose a mod or let it be open to apply. However the flaw in the plan is that the group might implement the idea just for the colored name.

Re: TeamCC Open Applications
i guess but personally i think finding mods is just as important as getting the idea passed (for that particular example) and thus this would be a logical step as it does both.GrimReaper. wrote:That's what the sugs and bugs forum is for.

i dont think the flaw mentioned would be an issue. In order for it to work people would have to make suggestion that needs a mod and get it passed. Obviously in order to do that Lack would have to deem such a job important enough to get another colored name thus the person who suggested it would have to work to maintain their colored name. So there would be no way to submit an idea for the sake of a colored name and not doing any serious and important work.

Thanks for your question, a.sub. We are looking for a wide variety of Volunteers, however, we aren't looking for Volunteers for something specific as "Moderating Surrender Use" or the like.a.sub wrote:you know, since we are getting new mods anyway, would it be ok to have people sign up for a recommended spot?

We are just expanding our Team of Volunteers to better suit the needs of a growing Conquer Club Community. New Team Volunteers would function just like our current ones. As for the particular boards, the "Team" list at the bottom of the forum, and linked to previously in this topic, list the positions we will be filling. Right now we aren't looking for create any new positions---we are working within the confines of what we have already (this may change in the future though, who knows!).squishyg wrote:I think it's fine that you're asking for open applications, it seems to be making a lot of people happy that they have a shot at a colored name. ...
It's grammar. gg though.
And since when did this thread go from TeamCC applications to a spelling contest? Congrats to a mod and a Foundry assistant for once again putting forth a good show!
