Auto Refresh Customization

considering the auto refresh was brought in due to an express request, i dont see any reason why it cannot go back. ecpect ofcourse many people like it

As Woodruff noted, we are not asking for a complete reversal, just the option to turn it off. There are absolutely times when autorefresh is great, just not always.

Definitely. Allow an "off" button for those of us who hate it when playing speed. (although it has been a while since I've played speed.)

Not even an "off" button/setting, necessarily. Just have it automatically turned off when you are taking your turn in a speed game. In other words, once you press the "BEGIN TURN" button until you press "END REINFORCEMENTS" (or END ATTACKS if you have no reinforcement opportunities).

Exactly Woodruff! Just during YOUR turn, it doesn't really need to be optional, because who needs to refresh the page during thier turn? If they have a reason to, such as chat, I think hitting the button is just as easy, if not less aggravating. BTW the new idea of clickable maps,CC style kicks but, hated the clickies script but that thing is the bomb.

me, too. However, I WOULD like to see the option to turn off auto-refresh. Any movement on this idea?

Since I and apparently others have been having issues with the auto refresh in speed games, would it be possible to change the auto refresh in sequential speed games to say 30 seconds. I think this would help fix the problem I am having with the auto refresh going back to the default troop count or default territory. There really is no reason I can see to have it refresh ever ten seconds in sequential games. I understand in freestyle.

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:

Changing the refresh to 30 seconds or even a minute even, would cut down on the website having to refresh all the time and potentially taking some of the strain off the servers, which lately seem to be strained a fair amount.

I'm in favor. There really is much reason to auto refresh every 10 seconds in sequential games.

Any chance of having standard games refresh when in the game like speed games do. if peeps want to play real time standard games saves having to refresh page constantly.
