yeti, you're right about oklahoma.
as I said to widow in that post, there are quite a few places on these maps with one border and that confuses the bonuses for everything else. grabbing four territories just to get a +1 seems a bit weak but then every other continent needs to get bumped up

Either way - it'll become a place to grab (+2) or a place to consider if nothing else is left!!

Thanks guys for the input. I will keep working on the other three maps and see what other input we get on these for now.
But I would like to discuss one thing you brought up.
You mention that there are a lot of one border states.
While I did try to get a pretty good layout initially, there is no reason we can add roads.
I mean the states are connected by more than one road.
Feel free to suggest border changes and additions to even out the bonuses.

Your intention is to have this project move as quick as the slowest map in the pack? Ill need to discuss the do-ability of this with oaktown but I dont see it as so much of a problem. We will just have to work out who we will work it.

I dislike all the empty space in the Southwest...but I assume you are going for consistency regarding the title location in the upper right. So I suppose I could live with it.

ok, widowmaker, do we have 6 map drafts yet? I checked page one and im assuming there is still a first draft to be posted of two other maps. Is this correct?
Also me and oaktown discussed how best to moderate this, its my believing that oaktown will stamp the whole package under one stamp. So basically all 6 maps will need to be up to oaktowns standards to get your gameplay stamp. I on the other hand may do my stamping map by map. Although im still undecided. If you get a minute flag me up on skype ill we will discuss how best to work the graphics stamp with this project.

can we connect Knoxville to Charlotte? (spelled wrong on map I think). That'll alleviate two of my problems. Tennessee (2 E's at end!) only connecting to georgia. N. Carolina only connecting to S. Carolina.
Possibly consider a connection from Mississippi to Tennessee as well. The dead end there doesn't feel right. Also the 3 bonus Miss. isn't right with only 2 borders and 4 territories.

I just want to get the gameplay agreed upon first then we can tweak the graphics. Plus...
these east coast regions have many interlocking state shapes.
Due to this, the space between the state might need to stay larger because of naming and road routes.
But like I said I have no problem with trying to tighten them up.

As a non american it is very difficult for me to make the link between the state name in the bonus list and it's geographical position.
Even in Southwest with the texture,it take me more than 30 seconds to find the right bonus.
As it is now it's unplayable
, at least you have to put the names in a logical order (geographically).
More drastical but more efficient would be a minimap or putting states name near the states itself.
Please think to american geography ignorant.

when the graphics are more like the first three maps (west, southwest, rockies) where each state has a colour and a repeating symbol, they are quite distinguishable.

- edbeard wanted to add a city to New Jersey but if we do that the Number of territories is now off and some games will start with a neutral. I would prefer not to do that.
