I hate to break it to you, but socialized medicine is better than the privatized disease industry we have now. Sure, you have to wait in line and you might die, but at least half the people in the line ahead of you aren't suffering from imaginary diseases like "Restless Legs Syndrome" and "Caffeine-Induced Sleep Disorder."
See bold why its a bad idea.

Now why in HELL would they do that? You figure it out.
I don't know..her name began with a "P" I believe. Hillary is just like her husband.... she has no convictions. And as the old saying goes... "If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything".

Correct
Good points.Aimless wrote:Reasons socialized medicine is bad :Kugelblitz22 wrote:Does your conclusion come with a premise?Aimless wrote:Hillary supports socialized health care. For that reason, more than any other, she will never receive my vote.
1) The VA.
2) Public Education.
If you have a chance, please watch John Stossel's "Stupid in America" report which he did for 20/20. This addresses your 2nd point on Public Education. Of course, I believe Hillary would pump even more than Bush into public education.

The public school system is failing. The money obviously is being diverted to someplace other than the schools. Keep in mind that the left controls the school system and it is a laughing stock..... do the math.

Re: Correct
No, but the system of public education is failing us. I would like to see a return to curriculum-based and teacher-centered education. I do not believe in child-centered education as it is currently structured. Although progressive education's goal is to develop critical thinking, I don't believe it has achieved that. It has been a bad investment.Backglass wrote:And what would you rather see done...eliminate all public schools?luns101 wrote:Of course, I believe Hillary would pump even more than Bush into public education.
I also believe that a voucher system is a good way to start initiating some competition between school districts. Unfortunately, every time it begins to work, organizations like the ACLU start trying to block it. I am pretty sure Hillary Clinton would be against school vouchers. It's just one of many reasons why I wouldn't vote for her.
Did anyone else here get a chance to see John Stossel's report?

Not to places other than the school just the wrong aspects of the school. My school got a big raise in it's funding and it used almost all of it to improve aspects of the school that had nothing to do with learning.jay_a2j wrote:Backglass wrote:And what would you rather see done...eliminate all public schools?luns101 wrote:Of course, I believe Hillary would pump even more than Bush into public education.
