Perhaps something to actually consider ...when someone is forum banned or kicked...an auto pm when you try to pm them or invite to games saying that this person is kicked or whatever..just to let you know...Not actual details. Just a hey this person wont get back to you for a while

Incorrect. You have no "rights" outside of what is listed in the Terms of Service. You have whatever capabilities that the administrators of this site give you, but you have no other "rights".Queen_Herpes wrote: Players have the right to know if someone they are up against or considering to go up against are cheaters or not.
Players have the right to know.
The community has a right to know.

After I wrote what you quoted, and before you posted, I wrote this:Woodruff wrote:Incorrect. You have no "rights" outside of what is listed in the Terms of Service. Read the Entire Thread Before Posting wrote:If the "right to know" is not there...then you should be considering a policy of "responsibilty to inform." The metaphors I mentioned are spot on target. In most societies it is the norm to identify wrongdoers. In fact, I challenge you to cite a society where identifying wrongdoers is NOT the norm.
As a player, I want to know if a potential opponent abuses the rating system. Why? Because I care about the ratings I receive. If they've been punished in the past, I want to know that so I don't elect to play games against them. Maybe I won't foe them, perhaps I will give them a chance and play them one year after their punishment.
As a player, I want to know if a player opened a multiple account. I want to know this in case they were avoiding something like ratings abuse or serial deadbeating or farming. I don't want to play games against players who are cheating and who are avoiding being publicly branded in a C&A Abuse case.
There seems to be a lot of mention of abuse that we players who peruse the C&A Forum do not know about. Are there cheaters who use "outlawed" scripts or special codes to give them an unfair advantage in a game? If so, I don't want to play against those players. I'm here for fair competition.

Re: Inform community about community related punishments
Look the bottom line is this was a suggestion that was made with a lot of thought and insight behind it on how to make the sight better, so kuddos for QH for that but the outcome of implying this is not something that from the sounds of it will be explored. There are many reasons; there was coding reasons, there was moderator time to input reasons, and there was the anonymity reasons behind users past transgressions.
Overall this is a gaming site and its using its right to protect its users privacy and past violations to a point. There are many violations that are ruled upon everyday in the C&A forum. Being a frequent visitor to that forum will have to be enough for you to to be in the know of other players dirty laundry. Informing the community via an add on on the profile or a forum thread of violators and their punishments will not be done. Whether you view this as it should be your right to know this information or not the site views it as its not.

I took those out of the suggestion a long time ago. No more coding. Please refer to the original post as I edited it there. I also made a comment referenceing the edit.king sam wrote:there was coding reasons,
Also dealt with. Edited suggestion sees one line posted to a locked thread that is stickied and contains all busts from implementation forward, no back dated episodes.king sam wrote:there was moderator time to input reasons,
AndyDufresne appears to have mentioned in comments to this thread that the anonmymity is not a real issue.king sam wrote:and there was the anonymity reasons behind users past transgressions.

This is getting pointless.

Well if you really want to know something just holler at me. I'll either tell ya, ignore ya or foe ya.
As for this sugg I want my 13 multi busts and 11 forum bans and my 3 farming warnings to remain private between me and CC.
END OF DISCUSSION.
