ok thanks for everybody who answered,

so the main problem is that after a week many people would sign up on many games. My answer would be: Only month memberships, not week memberships and, On month memberships max games at the same time would be 20 or something like that.
But ofcourse for a lower price, for example for 2 usd?

I would still be happy to purschase a month just to try the premium features of the game.

i think 1 month memberships at $2 is low...i understand you are putting a game cap on, but after a year, that person only pays 24 dollars while the rest pay 25. monthly's should cost more per year than just buying the full year membership, many companies do this, especially magazine companies
For example, a computer magazine i buy costs $6.95 USD per month, or you can get 12 issues for 19.99...guess which one i chose...

Yeah ofcourse that was what I was thinking at the begining but if it has a game cap should it be a higher price? Maybe it's better to lower the game cap a little on month memberships. Like 15 games

ok but my thread was just the Idea anyway, the programmers or owners of the game should decide the price and game caps.

Also Card operators dislike low amounts... it might not be worth while to get lots of 2 dollars as Lack would lose more percentage wise... this is why a lot of shops have a "minimum spend" on cards!!

cheaper premium option

Postby moxiousman on Tue Dec 25, 2007 11:53 pm

I would like to see some kind of cheaper version of premium

i dont really want to spend more than $10 or so on this site, but i would like to play more than 4 games at a time. i think there should be some cheaper option, like only subscribing for 6 months or having an extended, like, say 20, game cap, but not unlimited. this way, people who dont want to spend $25, but want some additional playing, can get it

At this time, there won't be really any other "Premium Plan" options, as 25 USD is quite a steal. If you'd rather not spend the money, invite some friends to play, and if they upgrade you get some free Premium also! :)

well, for your benefit, the site would be more active, and you'd get money from people who originally did not want to buy premium... its not like i can do anything if u refuse though

$25 US for a whole year is a bargain and becoming more so every month

plus i have played on other online gamesites that charge that much every 3 months. definately a bargain.

hmm...i think if we had options, I think it would be great.

Keep the $25 a year, but you can also pay $15 for 6 months, 10$ for 4 months, and 5$ for 2 months.

That way Lack would still earn money, and people who want to try out the game could do so without potentially wasting 25$ and a year's prescription.

I think different options would satisfy everyone from people that want to try the game, to people that just want to extend it for an extra little bit. Plus i think parents of littler kids would be more lienient towards a 10$ game than a 25$ game  .

I think it would help Lack's finances a little bit

premium fee

Postby Super Davet on Thu Dec 27, 2007 9:37 am

as a relative newcomer to c.c., and having become a premium member within about a week of joining, i believe the premium fee to be a bargain (with that said lack, don t go increasing it on us). to put it in perspective, i certainly don t get much bang for the buck after spending 15 or 20 bucks (no drinks) on a meal that goes in one end and out the other. i certainly don t get much bang on a movie for 15 to 18 bucks for what is usually a garbage show anyways, etc. etc. etc.. the owners of c.c. are being more than fair by offering the ability to play 4 games at a time (indefinately) to be able to determine whether or not a premium is worth it. where else can u get this much entertainment value for 25 bucks and be able to piss off your significant other at the same time.

PREMIUM

Postby SlayerQC on Sun Mar 23, 2008 2:25 pm

I sorta wanna get premium as 4 games isnt enough.
People play slooooooowwwwwwww.
I don't really want to spend $25 rightaway though, I only have been on the site for a day or two.

Isnt it (or it should imo) possible to get a shorter period for a smaller fee?
Let's say if you had a month period for $5, I wouldve paid the $5 rightaway then probably get hooked and pay for a year.

I just dont wanna pay $25 for something I might not even use for a year or multiple months.
Im sure others feel the same.

Also, I make $$ but im sure there is a lot of youngsters here that cant afford $25 but could pay a lower amount.

Just my 5cents

Only option at the moment is the full 12 month package.

Trust me, once you can play as many games as you like, and can make password protected games, and play speed games, you'll get your money's worth, even if you only stick around for 6 months.

However, we hope you are around for a long time. :D

Not my site but they might want to change that, bring in some extra $$$.

Or maybe a short trial period of premium?(with limited games of course to prevent someone from starting a thousand games :-p

Just suggestions.

Adding in other options complications banking data, and Lack isn't looking to do that at the moment.

There is a Trial Membership, called "Free Membership," which you have now. ;)

If you'd rather not pay for Premium Membership, consider joining a tournament that offers some months as a Prize, or use the Referral Tool to invite your friends and convince them to upgrade so you can receive some free months. :)

I would suggeset $10 for 3 months. The full year would be a better deal by far, but it'll allow people to try the full website without a longer commitment.

I agree with the post above.
ANY shorter period, I think, would be beneficial for the site.

But it doesnt matter for me anymore: I couldnt resist and got PREMIUM for the year!!

I think having paypal as payment option is a great idea, i wouldve never registered without it.

Now im off to start games!!

Theres been a couple threads like this, and they all say the same thing in the end.
$25 for the year in nothing, so like you have done, just take advantage of it.

By the way, the "youngsters" (I'm 16) are more than able to pay for it, using their parents credit cards, and simply paying them back.

Slayer,

I think your suggestion is a positively capital idea.

Not only would this give CC more $$, but it would make people like you (and as I myself was once) more options, and not necessarily just a $25 option.

I certainly would have done that a year ago (that is, take a smaller option, which over time would even cost more money were I to continue).
