Well, first of all... it's "statistic"

Second of all, that statistic, without some explanation, is meaningless. If they mean purposely shoot someone you care about, well, not sure what to say about that, not sure if that is true.

If it means accidentally shoot someone you care about, then yeah, that would probably be true, because you are more likely to be around those you care about, so any accidental shooting would more likely involve a loved one.

I think the should stop allowing pistols, and other small guns to be sold, aswell as the bullets for these small guns.

Then make it illegal to have them aswell.


I dont have a problem with the big rifles or shotguns, because if someone is walking down the street with it, you are going to know it.

People would be allowed to own rifles and shotguns, so if a criminal does break into your house, you can defend your self.

Hunting would also not be a problem, because nothing there would change.

I know this is a bit idealistic but this is the best solution that I have and I think if some minor kinks were worked out, this system would be good.

I like this law they have here in Colorado called the 'Make My Day Law'
it allows for homeowners to shoot, even to death, anyone who enters their home if the homeowner feels threatened
this has decreased the rate of break-ins statewide
people here are also allowed to have conceiled weapons if they have a permit to do such
there is a 9mm in our pick-up, just in case we ever need it

The constitution, when it was created, was worded very carefully to avoid misinterpretations in the future. However, they do happen. There really isn't any ambiguity in the second amendment:

"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

If the guns were only meant to be used by a militia, then why is the line "the right of the people to keep and bear arms" included? This amendment was made in accordance with the rules of this nation, that should the government ever fail in its ability to represent the people that it should be dismantled and replaced with a new government. Such a dismantling of a corrupt government would, inevitably, lead to war. The second amendment was put in place to ensure that the government wouldn't restrict the people's access to arms in the case of such an event.

The 2nd amendment is jsut that, an amendment jsut like prohibition (19th i think...) the whole point of them is to evolve with the times, since we no longer need them to drive indians off their land (we use lawyers and Jack Abramoff now) and a lot of people live in the city now and dont' need to shoot rabid wolves that attack their livestock.

Lets see, 4000 abortions a day in the US means 1,460,000 children killed each year in the US alone. Guns aren't the problem.
