what i'm saying is how can any of this , even the cicles effect the flow of the game, they can't, that's what i'm saying. there are other maps already in play that are just as inconsistant so why are they not brought back in here to be fixed. that's why i call this nit picky! and i'm sry if people don't like my opinion, i just don't see what everyone else does.

thanks for understanding edbeard. The bigger problem is the "jitteryness" of some of the lines. There not as smooth and flowing as they could be. They seem to have quick changed in direction like when your changing direction moving the mouse. You understand what i mean?

As for inconsistant lines, they very much exist in this map, its most noticeable on the islands, this is my biggest problem, i can live with the jitter, but not the inconsistancy.

Will you please read what we are acctually saying, it WILL NOT affect gameplay at all. But there is a standard set to get foundry approval which is a standard i tend to base my feedback on.

And yes you are correct there are maps that are inconsistant and messy, from a time before the foundry was the way it is today. If you bother to chck youll see that a number of old mas have been revapmed to meet current standards.

Stop talking and start listening, i never said i didnt like it, i acctually said the boarder is the only graphically problem i have. I WILL say again that the foundry demands high graphical standards.

and what i'm saying is my opinion and there is no problem from my point of view. and the standard is ticky tacky if circles being off by 1 pxl and your thick lines is the complaint. and yes i am listening to what your saying, i just don't agree!

Thats fine if you dont agree. But your saying that there not a problem as they dont affect gameplay, but that is not the full purpose of the foundry.

Gimil brought up some valid points about the inconsistencies in line thickness.

this argument is ridiculas, i'm sry but this is lame to complain about something like that. i'm here to play risk and enjoy time with friends. not to be judge, jury and exacutioner over lines. it looks nice and game play is fine, thats all that should matter. to me stuff that minor is dumb. if you want to be a critic go write for a newspaper or something. to prove me wrong lets quench and see how many complaints you get about the lines. i bet none.

as for the jitteryness, thats traced from an actual map, so why change the geography, that again is ticky tacky.

Well if you dont want to discuss the graphics of a map, dont bother visiting final forge. you speak of this discussion to be dumb but yet you continue to stay involved. You dont seem to be understanding the message im communitation which is the foundry takes pride in its high quality maps. It is what makes CC better than any other risk clone site and we should continue to maintain and improve on this in order for CC to maintain that competitve advantage.

If you feel that graphic discussions are stupid then feel free to disengage and leave it the people who care about the athestics.

Traceing is never perfect. and by tidying up the lines im not suggesting that tisha change the geography but simple tidy iy up. If it was done correctly it sohuld take no mroe that 5 min of her time to fix.

the problem is she has retraced several times and it keeps coming out the same. they where much thicker before, but she has managed to fix the best she can. so i'm trying to save her the stress.

many others have had to do alot more work repeatadly, for example

I had to start portugal again from scratch to get it to a standard the community likes, there was also many occassions where i had to do things i didnt want to do,

Cains had had to completly change a map because the community where uncomfortable with the origial concept,

Lone.prophet done a graphic REVAMP in final forge because people where not happy with the visuals,

so because its extra work is not a logical rebuttal to not do something.

what youve been arguning against isnt my opinion on the boarders, but that fact that the foundry shouldnt bother about the graphics of a map.

well she doesnt need to stress, its only a .PSD file, if its bothering her she should jsut stop and take a break. Like i told her a number of times im always willing to help out (as are any other cartographers here) She can ask anything and someone will be willing to help.

as long as gameplay works and map looks good(without a microscope) then yeah they should'nt concern themselves. just approve and if a problem come's up while playing then pull it and fix it. do you really look at line thickness when playing, now tell the truth!
