P.S. - someone give qwert a kick-along for his xml too, that'll be another one in there for the update. Five brilliant maps on the way. Well done guys.

i'd like to hear more opinions on this if more people find difficult to understand what's a village castle or sanctuary then i ill add color on the legend.

Perhaps instead of straight coloring the text, using a glow or a back shadow, or an outline around the text? This might clear up any confusion, and might keep the legend from becoming to colorful...

that's exactly what i was meaning. putting a simple glow. there's no way i'm gonna color the text that's plain butt-ugly.

i'll put something along these lines tomorrow when i'll do the centering. i'm going to work now.

While you are entitled to your opinion this isn't helpful to this map, and is bordering on trolling. Careful. :|

So stateing my opinion in a pretty standard way is trolling? I am in a way helping this map, by showing that I object to it being quenched :)

It is just the same as posting that comment in a new map by a newbie in the map ideas forum, is that trolling? :o

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_%28Internet%29

Your opinion was that this was 'another' map that people who post here regularly like but the 'general cc community' won't. It's adding to an us vs everyone else idea that we've been trying to get away from and your intent seems to get people to argue with you. Especially people who have made maps that are not standard risk maps by your use of the word another.

That follows the definition pretty closely. In Map Ideas someone hasn't typically spent 5 to 6 months on their map. That is the perfect time for saying you don't think it would be a good map. It's kind of pointless at this stage unless you are trying to anger people.

If you posted why you object to it being quenched that would be more useful. DiM has nothing to go off except that you don't like his map.

I have already inplyed why i object to it being quenched, It is a non standard risk map and I feel that it would not add to CC by quenching it, there ya go, spelt it out for ye

spin,

While, it is understandable that YOU (or even a large number of CC members ) don't like non-standard RISK maps - there are plenty of us who DO like ALL types of maps.

Let's not forget that you may or may not have an axe to grind with DiM - seeing as how he was the most negative person on your new Crossword 2.0 map.

What you have posted is NOT an issue that CAN be fixed - nor should the Foundry WANT it to be fixed. The Foundry wants there to be a variety of maps to suit everyone's likes. This also means that there will be plenty of maps that CC members will dislike. To go on raving about your stance in this thread is unproductive.

At least with DiM's rants in your thread - he managed to point out some potential flaws/hurdles that you guys fixed/accounted for. So, whilst not the best of posts - DiM's posts actually helped the Crossword 2.0 map.

Seeing as how you have nothing nice/productive to say about THIS map (AoR), anything more would just be trolling.

It is, do you think he should put the shield for villages like he has the other shields?

We were hoping the orange text for the word villages, the drawing of a village in each village territory, and the matching orange shield the same shade as the village text in each village territory would be enough. :(

Yes, i think he should add orange text to make it clearer, or orange glow... also he needs to add the orange shields are villages in the legend as it is not clear enough and is not stated :)
