Its a cheap tactic where three friends or what not all go at the same time to emphasize each of their respective moves.

Teamwork is good, but it can be killer if they have good communication more so if its a double turn game and they end up taking SIX consecutive team turns.

... I always move simultaneously in the trips games I'm in. I set a time with my pals and we go on-line and begin turns at the same time (the only Freestyle games I can win).

... Then you can begin your tuen and wait, watch your partner advance through enemy territory, then place some of your own armies with his armies if he takes too many losses.

... I thought that's how everybody did it.

Hello evilangel. I apologize for the violence of our last game. We are not outside the rules, but yes, sometimes we play at the office, at the end of the work journey (in GMT+2) and I think we are well coordinated.

This thread confuses me. The first post seems to believe that they are all the same person who deploys and moves three players within seconds of each other? He must be very fast to run between computers and do all this nearly simultaneously or would be very stupid to try it all from one computer.

The second post complains about good teamwork in a team game... How dare they work together when they have mutual goals!

Issues like this have been raised on many, many occassions.

I will say this for the last time (and then hope others drink the Kool-Aid and do this on my behalf)....

It is not possible to cheat in doubles and triples games. The only exception is if someone is playing on TWO DIFFERENT TEAMS.

I don't care if it is the same person playing on two different computers, the same person playing two accounts on one computer, two people playing on one computer, two people playing on two computers. IT IS JUST NOT POSSIBLE.

You cannot cheat when multiple players are supposed to work to the same end goal. If one person feels he/she can only play with him/herself (insert joke here) then let them.

My final word on the matter is that in a Freestyle team game it is actually more advantageous to play with a friend (and both log in at the same time) than it is to play as two accounts (and have to log out and then back in).

Sorry if this post comes across in a negative light, but I am frustrated at suggestions that two (or three) players in a TEAM game are too coordinated. When playing in a TEAM game, I submit that you should be just as coordinated (through PMs, IM, or phone) or prepare for a tough road ahead.

Just for clarification, Ayame:

If you are in fact all 3 players, although I do not believe it is cheating I do believe it is pathetic.

Sure its cheating. Its clearly violate the # 1 rule, "no multiple accounts". So, sure its possible cheat at a team game, violating rule 1. Logic, its difficult to realize if the cheater is a little smart. :(

Marv:

You have to ask yourself why rule #1 exists.

It is either:
1. To prevent the same person from playing as multiple players in the same game, and/or

2. To allow Lack to manage the load.

If the reason is #2, then breaking the rule is more an inconvenience issue for Lack and he needs to enforce it.

If the reason is #1, then it is obvious the intent of the rule is to prevent one player from having an obvious advantage in a game. Referring back to what I wrote, anyone who enters a team game should believe the other team is conspiring against them. Therefore even if you control all the players on another team it may be in violation of Rule #1 as you say, but it offers no greater advantage to the player.

In sum: I guess I agree it is cheating and actino should be taken, but I do not think it is advantageous. Mostly just pathetic.

zorba_ca, If I am one playing for 3, can you explain me how can I start my turn in 3 diferents computers at the same second and... how can I finish at the same second? Im pathetic and really very fast. I think this was the complaint of evilangel.

I'd have to agree with the post earlier on about it being a TEAM game where communication is the whole key. They happened to have great communication because they all played in a relatively confined spaced (not people on opposite sides of the world on the same team). I don't know if I would call it pathetic either. You've got to know what you sign up for. Complaining about double turns in double turns allowed games...come on. Complaining about too good of teams in doubles and triples? Just seems rather frivolous.

I stay away from double turns allowed games because I don't want to deal and complain about them. And if I play a doubles or triples game I'd sure try to get a buddy in there to make it more fun and advantageous for both of us.
