xml test:

xml

what i have updated:
the river -> sea effect (also updated the colour as it was to dark)
added chinese kashmir label into the map, couldn't do that in gray cause it was then impossible to read or i had to move it to much north so did it in yellow and made it a bit transparant
moved army shade of c. kashmir a bit down
changed the colour of c. kashmir in the legend
made a tiny map version
changed the army shades in the tiny map version now they are perfectly centered
changed the xml

if there are no problems with the tiny map or with the chinese kashmir label then this map is ready for quenching

I've checked the xml. Everything looks right and tested out okay. Great job with implementing the bombardments code correctly, glad you have been paying attention to that.

I'll pass the good word on to cairnswk and Andy.

Wisse....almost there is believe....can you check on the following please....
* the Shandong bridge to Liaoning on the norhtern end...is that a double line on the coast outline as it is seems there is more than one line there at the bridge
* the army circle on Fujian...is touching the bottom of the "J",,,can you move the circle south a bit away from the name as there is room for that there
* please check some of the black borders especially like in north of Heilongjiang where the lines are very firry, almost like a felt pen has run on wet paper.
Thanks

i also know why they are that way, it is because this 2 things:
1) all countries have a stroke so it could be a double stroke
2) i could have edited when i begon with this map with the brush tool instead of the pen tool

those 2 things are the only possible things
but are there exept those borders still something? please post if you see it cause i want this done quick :)

ok thanks for making those pictures, i will delete those "extra borders" and rework those sttrange borders
and about those orange dots near the coats i will delete them all (just spotted tons of them, especially on the tiny map)

about the circle, i tried everything to get it strong everywhere but it all turned ugly, however i think i have an idea :)

so next update there will be:
fixed coats of arms of taiwan
fixed borders
fixed space near bridge
deleted orange pixels

Qwert...this is not needed if Wisse doesn't think it is needed. I don't necessarily put it on my maps.

i've just noticed that shanghai (the middle one of the three cities) is on the wrong side of the river! it ought to be on the south side of the yangzi delta and associated with jiangsu.

this changes the gameplay because there is no bridge across the river at that point just now.

if it is too difficult to change, or if u don't want to change it because u did this deliberately as part of the planned gameplay, then i have no strong objection. i mentioned it because it's nice to have an accurate map and because chinese players might want the map to be updated if it becomes popular!

shanghai is at both sides of the river, so it doesn't matter that much

shanghai is on both sides of the huangpu river, which is a very small river that runs north to join the yangzi delta's south side. none of shanghai is on the north bank of the yangzi. in fact, central shanghai is so far away from the yangzi that even the south side of the yangzi does not border the metropolitan part of the city.

the map called "shanghai's districts and county" in the wikipedia link below (see the politics and adminsistration section) will make things clearer.

the place on that map (shanghai) is where my river is because of the gameplay, so if i would have the jing-jang token there i would have to place it on the river wich seems strange :P
so i decide to let it stay where it is
