i don't think it's coincidental that almost all our answers for cheesemore's question were soft-tossing lefties (and the knuckleballer...)

who was the first player to have his signature branded into a louisville slugger?

ritey-o, mate, i guess he was the first baseball "superstar." and isn't that card so valuable b/c it came w/ some kind of tobacco product, which he disapproved of for religious reasons, leading the card to be pulled? and so it's extremely rare.....i think that's rite.....

It's something along those lines... of course, he's gotten to the point where he's really only famous because of the value of the card.

And damn it, I'm not old. I'm, um, well-seasoned... wait, that doesn't sound any better.

New question:
Who is the only major leaguer with 20 doubles, 20 triples, 20 home runs, and 20 steals in one season?

aww shit i read the jayson stark thing on curtis granderson and jimmy rollins being close to this plateau, but only skimmed it and didn't see who has actually accomplished it.

gotta say here: i'm a rabid braves fan, i mean i would kill a met or philly if given the chance, but rollins and jose reyes are damn fun to watch play, unreal talent there.....

i'll guess......rickey?

Not rickey....

I saw the same graphic, thought it would make a nice trivia question... and those young guys are incredible to watch (plus I have reyes and granderson on my fantasy team, so there's that).
