Well nazi Germany led to one of the most violent slaughterings of people ever and ultimately caused 2 mass killings.
Obviously there was the jews of Europe being killed and then there was Hiroshima which was the worst mass killing in my opinion of all time.

The significane of Nazi Germany in this was them causing WWII led to the Japanese getting involved and America making a nuclear bomb. When the Americans noticed Japan was getting too strong they destroyed parts of it which ultimately led too the war ending.
