I think it's in Town's interest to get claims out. No way Sonic came up with 4 valid fake claims and coming up with them when everyone has like 2-3 roles combined into one is going to be hard for all of the Scum.

@EW, why should Loose, specifically, stay home? I'm still weary of people staying home when it's obvious that staying home still got people killed. And why was Dev in the room if he didn't protect Traf?

@Fusi, you want town to claim? I'd say that in multiball it's easy to fake a claim given that loads of roles are in play. Just steer clear of VT claims. I don't think claiming right now benefits town.

Fusi, I don't think it will be good for town right now, maybe later. The chances that scum will come up with fake claims are still very possible and they will know exactly what town roles are and nice targets to choose from.

On fusi saying something -good.

On fusi suggesting town claims - could more easily be an offer that he expects to be rejected and therefore no offer, than a genuine suggestion.

On his 75% probability of being targeted last night it makes me pause as to whether lynching fusi would be an acceptable risk, but I think I'll leave my vote on him for now.

I don't really see how saying you have an eye on me without giving much of a reason takes things forward dev.

Ok you imply you think I'm lying.

If so call me out specifically on the lies.

Implication by insinuation sucks.

I expect people like Loose and others who read more into the flavour to stay home.

I expect "experienced" players to disregard the warning and blame the mod if it comes to bite them in the ass (myself included).

Now as for what my night action actually got me: the striga only dies after a lynch if its head it cut off with a masonic weapon. If this fails to happen, the striga "reincarnates" into another townie. I am not sure what this means wrt nightkills.

Reincarnates...meaning someone town would become the new Striga? Does it have to be someone town aligned?

Not sure DDS, Pixar or Charle (although Charle has posted quite a bit) have really stated where their suspicions lie currently so would like to hear from each.

Secondly vot usually has some good thoughts on what town should do around about this time so maybe cue an eruption?

Thirdly PMC gave good MVP analysis last game so wondering whether any insightful thoughts now?

I already handed out three FOS, but arguing for Town claims on a Day 2 (one that retains a Day 1 feel, I might add) deserves yet another.
Also what;s up with that vague, yet precise, chatter you gave about being 75-80% sure you were visited last night? I detest pseudo-quantification.

Ragian wrote:@EW, why should Loose, specifically, stay home? I'm still weary of people staying home when it's obvious that staying home still got people killed. And why was Dev in the room if he didn't protect Traf?

Yes, the mysteries of Night 1 remain unanswered:
1. Why were Traf and Dev in the same room?
2. Why were two night-killers in the same room?
3. Are Questions 1. and 2. causatively or coincidentally linked?
4. How many player were in that room?
5. What does a striga knocking on another door signify?
6. Stay in (no PR) or go out (use PR), does it matter with regard to nightkills, and if so, exactly how?
Doubtlessly other mysteries too, but let's try to focus.

Extreme Ways wrote:Now as for what my night action actually got me: the striga only dies after a lynch if its head it cut off with a masonic weapon. If this fails to happen, the striga "reincarnates" into another townie. I am not sure what this means wrt nightkills.

Assuming that is real intel, from a real night action you have, ....like 'Gossip with mod while he ties a few on')
1. How does that work?
2. Is that also a night action that follows the day lynch?
3. Will we know that we lynched the striga?
Reincarnation!
4. Who? Anyone? Town only? A lyncher only?
5. When? I guess after that masonic weapon usage-period expires.

Does trying to organize an ever-growing list of questions and mysteries count as an eruption?
Yes, I think other player should post more too, as long as they stay in that sweet spot between groundless accusation and overwrought speculation. That is especially hard thisa game with so much flavor, actions, and doubtlessly, lies about same, bouncing around.
We can all decide post-game how much of it was brilliant game-design and how much was Sonic on drugs.

Yeah Strike, I'm role-fishing as a Mafia player and actively posting in the thread for malicious reasons

Now you've got me curious though...because I believe Kong and EW are Town, but a Mod confirming THREE players on Night 1 as Town seems blatantly overpowered. And YOU SPECIFICALLY would know the last person I would go for Night 1 would be Law because I had just made the call in our last Scum game together to kill Law first.

Anything you'd like to share about what you learned last night? Also can you just explain or reiterate how "we know there is a Driver/Bodyguard in the game"?

Hello, all of you mysterious GAME GRANDOplayers =D> =D>

I'll be your Even-Day Mod - Old SoN!c is the grumpy Odd Day Mod ..; for now unless you wanna be his girlfriend

Biggest question related to D1 seems players leaving their rooms or not.. but City Hall is one big room and the Masonic Bodyguard did said this:

'However, all six of you have to stay here with focus on the lure. (the six townies were bound to city hall gameplay where the striga would go to...but Those having received power amulets, make sure you understand how they work and use them at your own discretion.' ..; so any townie could have used his powers N1..

PS: just now: Lord Mobrey alarms town and says: " Somebody here just stole the Masonic shot gun double barrel and a handfull of silver masonic slugs!"

If you have any D2 Mod Posts - make sure you send them to me!

Remember : Grando just needs to find the One! and when he does he'ss (he will) grow insane strong!

Good grief... now Sonic has even worked his own vacation days into the storyline. I guess it's nice that somebody gets a break from dealing with this mess... I'm even suspecting this whole game is just a plot my Ragian and Sonic to destroy the good name of game-flavor forever...

Also, I went back and re-read Night 1. Not only are there definitely separate rooms on separate floors, but I now think striga/Count Grando (same, right?) knocking on a door sounds more like a signal than an attempt at entry. Could this be what fusi was refering to?

Also Traf was in 'deep sleep'. Does that mean he also stayed in and didn't use his PR that night?

What's frustrating is that some details are just flavor and some have gameplay significance, ...and the dividing line is a blurry and unstable one that might shift due to Sonic's whims...

Is this Latest news from Lord Mobrey about the stolen shotgun and slugs the results of a just-discovered night action or a just-now-occurred day action? Also why is a mod speaking for Lord Mobrey? I thought he was a player character. ...right?
I also a wonder if my joke about a shotgun on Day 1 is what inspired Sonic to actually put one in the game??

I want to like this game, but I have to prepare myself for the possibility that I will end up contemptuously despising it...

Everything has gameplay significance..

"
"Traf was in 'deep sleep'. Does that mean he also stayed in and didn't use his PR that night?"

It means Traf was late with sending his night actions in - he was almost last with his actions and then he was killed before he did (so yes : he was "deep asleep" lol).

Any action has game symbolic..

This was the last explanation tho!

'He'ss" = Hessians" = refers to the approximately 30,000 unholy mercenary German troops hired by the British to help fight during the American Revolution. They were principally drawn from the German state of Hesse-Cassel, although soldiers from other German states also saw action in America. And of course The Hessian was a mercenary sent to America by German princes during the Revolutionary War also known as "the Headless Horseman".

Earlier, story details like the striga's heat-vision and shapeshifting into a spider were dismissed as being only flavor...
Also this still sounds like Sonic posting.
Sonic, are you using Ewe's (tongue -twister there) account?

FPed by that rather inscrutable Hessian post ...(?)

Yes ofcourse Vot, im in this together with Ewe.. But i will not answer anything on a Odd day.. Also: 2 mods...It's contributes to the story..but it also gives a firm warning what will happen when GRANDO finds and kills the one he is searching for: he will turn into The Hessian Headless Horsemann Vampire Shape..

So... then are the two masons in the story, mod-masons, and different from the two other player-masons?
That would add up to four masons...
In that case, maybe there is also a mod-striga, which is different than the player-striga?

Can I get the mods to promise on punishment of blacklisting if they're lying that neither of them make up nor are a part of either scum group? That they are not players in the game themselves?

This reads like an overreaction. 1. Yes. Role fishing is scummy. Especially in a game where the mod has confirmed that the main scum is looking for a certain player. 2. I didn't even really accuse you of killing Traf. The only implications is that if you're scum, you could be the scum group that targeted Traf but that's not necessarily true. 3. Son!c confirmed that there are 4 masons. The Bodyguard/driver is one of them.

Jesus Christ, what a fucking mess. Reading and now posting early and I'm just trying to read Day 2 but it's full of mod posts.

Reads? Why bother. There isn't anything to read on anyone because it's almost just purely flavor/mod adding nonsense. This is practically unplayable.

I'm sorry. Truly. I had an emergency on my end but I'm rare to go, and i come into... more or less what i complained about Day 1.

So yes. Kill me/replace me. I just can't.

To answer Strikes mod question here: I am blacklisting. This is pure bastard game bullshit, especially with whoever this guy is? Ewebasher? Come on. If people want to play, sign up like everyone else. This isn't "here's my sitter for x amount of time." There are rules in place, and unsung rules listed for mods as well. This is exactly why i didn't allow it in my other game. I dont mind bastard elements here and there but this is just overwhelming for a small group.

With that being said, cya. I'll mod a game.

I mostly agree with everything you just wrote, DDS.
However, personally, I'm fine with taking part in piece of avant-garde, quasi-grand-guignol, experimental theater, that thematically explores (and even dares mock!) the forms and tropes of the online mafia game genre, ...but i'll join your game too.

Ok gotta place an FOS on DDS for this.
Can't be bothered but can start a new game where this is an ideal one for DDS to goof around....

Remember Traf forgetting he was in a game when scum.
Remember Pepe taking offence and quitting then unquitting in Charles game as scum.

You've earned your fos DDS
