SCOTUS overturns Trump policy

Postby Lonous on Fri Jun 14, 2024 9:48 am

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Supreme Court on Friday struck down a Trump-era ban on bump stocks ..//..
The high court found 6-3 the Trump administration did not follow federal law when it reversed course and banned bump stocks after a gunman in Las Vegas attacked a country music festival with assault rifles in 2017.

Trump policy is overturned by SCOTUS.
Does this cause the left to celebrate or for their heads to explode?

Legal, Illegal, who cares, ...either way this whole issue is POINTLESS POLITICAL THEATRE.

Why? Because anyone who might need a bump stock can easily make one.
Of course, you know the rest, ...If you outlaw bump stocks, only outlaws will have bump stocks.

Not only that, but Sotomayor, Kagan, and Jackson all dissented, ruling in support of the policies of Donald J. Trump.

Justice Alito has the most logical ruling in the case -- Donald Trump does not have the power to strike down laws just because he doesn't like them, even if the court's three liberal fat girls believe he does. Blame Congress if you're mad --

The real problem here is that the Supreme Court needs to revisit the legality of the original Firearms Owners' Protection Act of 1986.
