Escalating Medal

I just recieved a platinum version of the escalating medal, but don't see anything about receiving the other medals. Does this apply 4 new medals to your account or do you only end up receiving the one platinum medal if you already qualified to receive it?

Update: I see on the scoreboard for medals I'm 32nd.

My medal count is at 160 as I just got awarded the escalating medal and a tournament medal. So, at least for now, only one medal has been awarded for it.

I'm personally trying to make sure the staff is aware. Its pretty hard to know if this issue is solved as I've only heard from Ice that it's being addressed and it hasn't fully fixed it. As i see what happened maybe it will help you understand why someone might bring this up.

1) Webmaster makes change to bring escalating medal into play.
2) Cool! New medals!
3) Medal comes through, only one for highest level
4) Being a developer I understand how the logic was likely written and how it could have been missed to apply all medals
5) I validate with others this is the case and that I'm not lagging behind
6) I open a bug report
7) replies here from a non developer admin about it being fixed
Realize this was an issue with zombie medals NO ONE ELSE CAUGHT. I get issued a bronze zombie medal and escalating medal
9) Wonder if this was also a glitch and it didn't issue the medals in between or if its just slow.
10) xroads responds that "my god, you people have no patience"

If in the future its better for me not to help point out problems and just let the site be bugged, then so be it. It's pretty clear the zombie medal bug has been there for awhile so I'm not sure if my pointing out the escalating issue helped or if someone else caught it internally. I suppose I won't ever know since a lovely mod such as yourself just chooses to insult our patience instead of letting us know it was already caught and being dealt with from the inside that we have no vision on.

Maybe you caught it and no one said thanks in public so now you are mad?

Wild west responses from community members like yours above really don't help people want to contribute and help. Then again if this is seen as not helpful... I don't know I want to be involved anyways. Or maybe you are just one grumpy person and others appreciate it. My post here in GD preceded my post in bug reports because I figured asking fellow players before officially submitting something in bug reports was best so as not to bring something up that was not an issue. I then opened a bug report to help bring it to the eyes of those who could fix it. If in the future I should contribute in other ways, I'm all ears, xroads.

For anyone who does want an update. It appears the CC team has fixed the one medal issue that was applied to both zombie and the escalating medal. They should each be applied to your account about an hour after one another.

Likewise, your medal count on the scoreboard will update an hour (or a few, not sure on the timing) after receiving your medals!

However, and I waited a day or two to post this, my country has changed from Panama (correct) to France (def. incorrect);

AND, I previously and laboriously beat back the hordes of BOTs to earn my BOT Platinum. BUT, now my wall says I have a BOT bronze medal working on a silver. What's with that?

Seems like all should be informed when such changes occur, and perhaps we were, and I'm not aware. I fear I don't hunt and search the site with any regularity.

I can understand the logic, but not the facts. I have received absolutely no credit for all of the Level 3, 4, and 5 Bots that I defeated. According to my Stats, I only played Level 1 and 2 bots. So, this doesn't hold water. I followed and qualified for each medal under the site's rules as they were. Now they can't change the rules and say you don't qualify under our new rules. In other words, if they screwed up, I shouldn't be penalized. Of course, I won't lose more than 5 seconds sleep about it.

It only shows you the current accurate count of the current step. So once you pass that step, it’ll show whatever credit you’ve earned towards the next one. It wasn’t the rules that were screwed up far as I know, it was how it was counted (or something, idk) it’s just now counting accurately
