Salem's Switch Map Write Up

Postby Nut Shot Scott on Sun Mar 14, 2021 9:47 pm

As someone who did not know about certain maps that have hidden start positions for years, I want to provide that information in the form of map guides. Not super interested in providing big strategy guides or anything - I really just want to give a better overview of specific maps than are currently provided.

Official CC Map Write Up

Witches, switches, rumours abound between gossiping neighbours! Will you be promoted to Reverend, Judge, or be hung on Witches' Hill? Buggy stops feature in gameplay as killer neutrals and are the main way to traverse the map, but not the only way. Unique in gameplay, this is another Cairnswk masterpiece based on historical aspects of the Salem Witch Trials.

Strategic Tip(s) for A Beginner

Knowing When To Shoot Your Shot

With buggy travel, you have potential access to a large percentage of the board and you know where your opponent is or could be, depending upon number of players. Knowing when to make a run through or to your opponent(s) is a something that you’ll have to figure out but dont sit and wait too long. Also, this map can be a bit like a see saw, don't be discouraged as long as you have a stack.

I believe none of the bus stops give a bonus.

That's a fair point but they are also all labeled as killer neutrals, I thought that kind of spoke for itself. But yes, edited.
