Game analysis....

Postby KoolBak on Mon Feb 17, 2020 11:52 am

So, if anyone is really bored....would you wanna take a look at a game history and opine on the tactics?

This is a conquerman game. I have my standard strategy that has historically worked fairly well for me. Was making good progress till there were 3 of us left. I've played these two frequently and, aside from a few issues, have no problem with them. Always seem to have played logically and well.

Then, after I made my first run, I obviously made myself a target. I expect retaliation at that point (I'd do the same), UNTIL that is, that the strongest is neutralized as the obvious threat. THEN, I assume normal players would move forward in an attempt to win.

Well, after the initial beat down, yellow (who is the problem here in my mind) continues to only attack me. Five turns in a row. I simply cannot fathom ANY scenario where this is a valid tactic. With pink's similar strategy, it seems there is no other conclusion than yellow is handing the game to pink. They are close CC friends but I've never seen this...strategy....between them before.

Perhaps I'm being a whiney bitch? It seems one could make a strong case for checking all the boxes on the old "secret alliance" accusation. I dont honestly think there is one, but the effect is the same.

Be interested to get a disinterested third party view. I AM pissed about it so cannot be completely objective

Yes, I've foed and moved on so it won't happen again.

Thanks.....

In round 11 you took out 3 players atleast doubling the territories to the remaining two players making you game leader. I can't see armies but assume you had more than either but less than double. Purple attacked back that round.you and purple went at it round 12 and yellow missed his turn. Round 13 onwards you faced both players. Fair game in my opinion from what I can gather.

Round 11. And then both only went after me even though after round 11, I was weaker.

Agree to disagree.

I was wrong ... they both retaliated on you in round 11 but still after your turn in round 11 you were the biggest player yes ? and after the next players turn but before the last players turn is it possible you were still the leader ? As I say I can't see the army count but the leader should expect to become the target in a three player game.
