you have a lower win %. So I guess you've got 1k points more because you win more points per game than me

Btw, this rank in map rank, field marshall, it's only taking into account how many points I won in all the team/poly games I played.
But if I had a Field Marshal rank, I'd be winning much less points per game that I am by playing them as a colonel actually, therefore I wouldn't be as high.
The relative rank given here is pretty irrelevant, and we can't even use it to compare each other.
Someone playing only team game will always have a lower rank in map rank for team games, than someone playing all kind of games.

Well, 2.88 means my opponents have a 2.88 times lower rank than me isn't it ? If it's the other way around then yes there is definitely a problem.
For team games I could understand it, I often face higher ranked team than mine ( I think), but for poly I definitely played tons of lower ranked.
Maybe maprank doesn't know how to calculate poly correctly.

I'm not entirely sure.. I thought the lower the relative rank, the worse. I could be wrong. I didn't actually expect map rank to work with poly at all.

more pts per game than you as I obviously play higher ranked players in team and polly than you and as a result have a lower win% overall but still with 1000 fewer wins and I have 1000 more pts than you would be considered a blowout

I was thinking at the difference between random21 and me for example.
Random21 almost exclusively played team/poly, therefore if you maprank him you'll obtain smthg close to 5k pts for him( his actual score) while you obtained 12k for me.

But as you pointed out, I wasn't exactly right, it depends. I was assuming team games was positive in term of points for everyone, thus if you play many different kind of games, team games are the one increasing your score ( which is the case for me). But this isn't always correct.

yup its a fun map.that map was beta for a long time so as a result I played it a lot

It seems like Donelladan is showing the best stats here. I have checked my head to head score with him in team and poly games when only 2 sides are playing and I win exactly 2/3 of our head to head games (42-28).

Your stat are better than mine. You shouldn't look at the points won ( 8k for you 12k for me) because this is influenced by our rank at the time.
If you play your games as a general, and I play them as a major, obviously, with the same win % I'd be winning more points than you ( which is what I was trying to say before).

If you look at win % you have 73% and I've got 63%. That's pretty clear.

But if you wanna see who's the better player between us, let's not look at biased head to head score, challenge me to a 1 man clan war

( though gotta say I don't have the time right now, I'll happily oblige in a few months).

so many players have a map favorite and or setting and then they play that map/setting to death.This warps their stats.Your a better well rounded player than those players are as a result.I am referring to you Caff.This then goes to real competition on this site,the maps should be random. far to many players in this thread do not have their random medal maxed out.would their stats suffer if they went for it? from experience I know the answer to that.

My random is at its max either, although I'm only 8 unique defeats away. I do know that if I played my best maps to the same percentage as other players, my win ratios would be at least as good. I just prefer becoming a better all around player and being able to perform on anything.
