King Zvonimir - Intentional Deadbeating - **Close Thread**

Postby jmyork82 on Tue Oct 18, 2016 4:48 pm

Accused:

King Zvonimir

The accused are suspected of:

Other: Intentional Deadbeating

Game number(s):

Game 14791183

Comments:
You can check the chat in the game as evidence. We had a wall conversation where he admitted that he was deadbeating the game on purpose because he felt like I shouldnt have won. He deleted his wall before I could screenshot my part of the convo. I tried to reason with him to where we could just end the game quickly while we were both on.

Granted, the game is still going and he could decide to reverse his decision, but I wanted to get this on the books since its fresh in my memory. I doubt he has prior history of this but I do want to note it.

Thanks,
JM

Lol is this a yellow card for a community team member ?

Ymyork even if he was to play he has 24 hours to take his shot, you are trying to get him to real time the game he don't want to because he feels cheated , with the game being trench most players at this stage would deadbeat because games over and is the quickest way to end it (apart from real time).

i'll take a yellow card if it helps me get another set. ;)

That's what I was offering, to real time the game. We were both on and it could be done by now. He was very specific about deadbeating instead of finishing. Like I said, I was just getting it out of my head while it was still fresh. I'm not mad about or at him. It's listed as a report-able offense. I dont mind retracting this if he plays it out.

Lol yep sorry jm on a 24 hour straight shift, was just when I read game chat and complaint it seems this report is more about him not real timing so you can get the challenge win, rather than him deadbeating a game that will take days to complete with normal play.

Really though if you were not after the challenge token would you of complained about these missed turns (if so why isn't the person who did already deadbeat not on report.)

But ow well never mind. (Maybe ask the person in charge of the challenge to give u the points for the medal still.) :D .

Only true for speed games. It is rarely faster to deadbeat a trench 24h games. And even if it is faster, it is still clearly forbidden by the rules to deadbeat.
KZ deserve a warning for that.

All good eddie, hope you get some rest,

I don't care about the challenge token, I think I already qualify for it even without this game. My reward for September challenge was clearing over 200 games from the pantry.

As far as the other deadbeat, my understanding is that there is a difference between intentional deadbeating and just plain deadbeating. If we were going to call every deadbeat into C&A, it would be filled with new recruits.

It doesnt bother me when somebody deadbeats, but being intentionally stubborn about finishing a game because you got the short end of the stick, c'mon. Like riskllama said, he's a decent guy, he should be above this.

Whatever. I just played the move.
If you've let me deadbeat, it would have been over in 1 hour. :)
Now you will be seeing me around for next a couple of days. :P

I'd rather hang out with you for the couple of days ;)

I didn't realize that you had already missed two and that would have been the third. I would have let it go if i had known that

Well I apologize and retract this claim!

I 2nd that.

I always looked at it like a this jmyork.

1)is there a fremium in the game.
2) is there any advantage to be gained(team games)
3) is it going to affect the outcome of the game.

If none of these then sorry dead beating is not affecting others game play. So who cares

Well but you are wrong considering the rule of the site.
Many people get warning for a single offense in similar case.
And being annoying to your opponent is enough. You signed up for a game, you play it till the end. That's the rule.

He didn't miss two when you made your complaint. Your complain was legit.

Close it, lock it, delete it, you know what i meant. The issue has been resolved, just trying to flag it for C&A mod next time they make their rounds.

Is it really donelladen. Come on you been about a long time this thead should not of been opened.
1) game was not deadbeat out of (no rules about missing turns.)
Lol I remember once In a speed game I had to leave so told other player I would deadbeat. Anyway he deadbeat the game without realising he was doing it I came back game was still active so I took my shot and won. His words could of been a bluff until it is deadbeat you cannot complain.
2)if I had made this complaint myself or owenshooter or any other cc public member then we would of been told to provide several examples or case closed.

Fair enough if it was deadbeat but anybody making the complaint would of been told to show examples ,told the game wasn't over etc. Even u donelladen have said these things before what's the difference now (lol name colour).

I agree with you eddie, jmyork should have waited King Znovnimir deadbeated to report. But he didn't want to get him warned, he wanted him to play, therefore he was right to fill the complain, since it worked :D
