You are right in this instance regarding flames in threads. In the past, and according to the current rules, this thread could have easily been locked.

There certainly is, in the current application of those old rules, a far more liberal interpretation and application of those old rules.

Even though most of us are enjoying that relaxed approach to those old rules, you are clearly frustrated by the double standard that has created with regard to how posts, players, and posters where treated in the past versuses the present. Perhaps even to the point that those rules were applied to someone like you, resulting in a ban or such, and now I am not being punished by those same rules.

I can appreciate that. Double standards, in any form, on purpose or not, are unfair and untenable. I guess that's up to the site owner and his paid staff to address.

Here is what I don't appreciate and what angers me: you take my words and you twist their motivation. I didn't tell you to get out of the thread out of an argument over its value or your participation. It was a joke regarding another thread that you and I posted in. That's frustrating for me.

I'm sure, if you have faced bans and warnings and such from mods in the past and you are not having fun watching those old rules not being enforced on others.

I'm not having fun interacting with you. I interpret your message-board interactions as pedantic and purposefully irritating. That's my interpretation. So? I'm choosing to no longer address you. It's not demanded of me as a volunteer to interact with you. I come here to have fun and give a few hours of my time towards making the site more fun to others. You seem to me be having fun from the sidelines by pointing out the failings of other posters, those who volunteer, and those who run the site.

well, that is the funny thing... there are new community guidelines being worked on... and there has been literally ZERO movement on them... Ok. Now that I'm watching I'm wondering: how does a player quickly become a sub 4.0 player? Let's build a primer. Build on the list from which a player can choose five (5) attributes and/or styles of play in order to see that rating take a dive.

A. Upon entering a game, especially if your host greets you, saying nothing, or better yet talk about how you are going to destroy him (them) and then after your victory how you are going to have carnal knowledge of their: family member(s), pet(s), furniture, or all of the above.
