Delete high drop bonus maps from auto tourneys

Postby xroads on Wed Apr 13, 2016 7:45 am

Do you know what really sucks?

Playing in auto tourneys, and your opponent goes first and drops a monster bonus and wins the game before you begin. Some maps just suck for 1 vs 1.

In a best of 3 match, you are already almost screwed.

WW2 Ardenesse
Gallipoli
Pearl Harbor
World 2.1

How about we find which maps where first to go in a 2 player game almost always wins, and remove them from the random rotation?

The default response of 'if you don't like it don't play it' is as much a part of what's killing this thing as anything.

I'm sorry I should have been more thorough or specific.

There are other / better suggestions for random. Like small map random. Large map random. But this is one tiny instance (1vs1) wanting to change random because he doesn't like a handful of maps that can pop up for its use.

So we going to have team game random? 1 vs 1 random? And 10 other situation specific randoms so one little thing can't happen in a 1/250 map chance?

Not only that, but some people like the fact ANY of the maps can show up and might still want those maps included.

So again....unless the suggestion is improved to something else besides "take X maps out cuz I don't like them in 1vs1 random" I wouldn't support it and would use what your calling the default line.

Sorry for killing everything Swiftey!

Hence why I said just in auto tourneys.

Especially when there are only 3 games quite often. Not much of a tourney when a player is given a win on the drop and only has to win 1 of 2 to advance to next round.
