I mean I was gonna renew again probably anyway but this is very underhanded CC.

The issue I had, and I took it up with BigWham via a ticket was that it was not very clear that it was a renewal.
Yes subscriptions often do auto-renew but it should be clearly stated. I havent checked for this post, but I recall complaining to BW that the CC signup page assumes the term subscription to mean auto renewing and I dont believe that is correct. A subscription is an agreement to use/ provide a service for a specified period of time.
Many automatically renew and state clearly that they automatically renew and allow an opt out/ opt in.
CC automatically renews but doesnt state it clearly on the signup page (or it didnt when I signed up).
If it was clear described, you wouldnt get so many complaints

mrswdk wrote:Yeah but those terms only use the word recurring once in the first paragraph. Before you click 'Accept' there should be a pop-up which plays fog horn noises and is full bright red block caps text warning you that just like all other online subscriptions this one renews automatically.
boberz wrote:Yeah it obviously renews right. I never really considered that it might not.

yeah, since it had never renewed on it's own since you first join way back in '06... it was a very large change, when this occurred... and people are still getting caught up by it...-Jésus noir
