I don't rate this way. I was saying you could if you find it's a cheap tactic.
I speak in fog game all the time, I love giving away position and troops, as well as completely lying about it. That's the point for me, in fog game you never know if someone is saying the truth or not. If someone start saying you have a huge stack somewhere, don't get pissed and say it's forbidden, because then everyone know it's true. Say that the guy has a bigger stack on the other side, even if it's not true, doesn't matter, no one know !

let's get back to the main issue that you seem to be skirting. it is not against the rules. i provided a quote and thread in which a SITE ADMINISTRATOR said it is not against the rules and will never be. you have had multiple people come in here and tell you the same thing. you are not going to win this complaint. you are absolutely wrong. there is not a question here, there is just a sore loser that learned about diplomacy a little too late. get over it. you lost. i am sorry. stop pm'ing me about the few views this thread has and the petition you have going to get them thrown off the site. either post a rule or just accept that you are wrong. i am the black jesus. i am never wrong. i am not going to be wrong this time. and i am not going to be wrong any time in the foreseeable future (and i can see all of CC time!!)... i am sorry about your little butt, but you are wrong... you are beating a dead horse, because you don't like how someone outplayed you with diplomacy. get over it, it happens... good luck in school, and eat your vegetables. the black jesus has spoken.-Jésus noir

p.s.-donelladan, do you mean like that? ha~!
p.p.s.-zeus111, keep posting on my wall and spamming my inbox. it doesn't bother me. i have had stalkers/fanboys far worse than you...

Have you ever thought of using punctuation?
This is one of those rare occasions when I agree with Owen ( :shock: ) - it's not against the rules, it's even part of the tactics, just like forming open alliances. I agree with you that I don't like to see it, but now you know that it is legitimate. Foe players who do it and you won't play them again.

Lol zeus you ask for proof. Tell u what, go to closed reports search reavealed fog. Or go to suggestions and search, many players are against it, but not against the rules. If you want games like that contact glide head of xi games user group, they play with no diplomacy no truces and no breach of fog rules.

Sorry zeus you are beating a dead horse like owen has said brought up loads always said not against site rules.

I'm not wasting my time reading triple post after triple post but bear the following in mind: just because someone calls out troop numbers in a fog game doesn't mean they have to be truthful. So, if it's about you, then argue otherwise. If it's about someone else, then you decide for yourself.

I believe the general message has already been posted and the pm you sent me has already been replied. I am glad that this is the first time you have encountered this after the many fog games you have played before. As you can see that this is not always the case for everyone who plays Fog so don't get discouraged by this. I hate to repeat what's been said in this thread but yes, it's not illegal to reveal information in a Fog game, but that also depends on the person you are playing with. Some will stick on keeping silent about what they see and some will say what they feel is needed to be said in order to survive in the game. Now you know. If you encounter another player who plays in that way that you don't like, so be it and move on.

====================

And to some of you who gives comments as if the player should already know better, take it easy on them. Not everyone is as knowledgeable as you are and sometimes some of our remarks can be too harsh. Let's not scare people away from the forums just because they don't know much as you do, or because they simply disagree with you.

Revealing one's information in a fog-of-war game is not really illegal. It destroys the essence of playing fog but it’s not punishable by us. Players can get desperate and resort into saying anything in order to survive the game. It's up to the other players whether to take his word or not. You can also bluff them with your own "revelations" or to remind the others that the game is still up for grabs and not to easily trust their opponents.

Overall, it is a case of poor sportsmanship.

You can put that player on your foe list so he won't be able to join your future games. You can also rate him accordingly.
