The powers to be deleting posts?

Postby isaiah40 on Tue Jun 09, 2015 8:25 am

The powers to be deleted my post about the foundry is now officially dead because there are no more carto's. I posted an image of something that anyone can see for themselves by going here memberlist.php?mode=group&g=152290 . This is the list of who is a cartography assistant. As you can see there is not a single person listed, so hence, the foundry is officially dead. Of course if the powers to be have other plans, then it would be nice to have an announcement of the fact instead of pulling an Obama and telling us that CC will be transparent - to a blind person! Of course this is now par for the course, no communication between admins and the community. I'm glad I'm not a paying member anymore! Of course I'll probably get forum banned for this!

Nope they didn't move it, and didn't forget where I posted it! I also posted here as well for the whole community to see. Yes, I know I could have just posted the link, I choose not to.

Your post was deleted because it was a duplicate. You already posted the same exact thing in the foundry where that post belongs.

yeah... this isn't an accurate statement... however, keep up the great work, you are falling right into the mold of the old jr. mint admin squad... it was already linked, the post exists in both places... sigh... this is what happens when you scrape the bottom of the barrel for volunteers to admin the site... thank goodness for the few good mods/admins we have... sigh...-Jn

What part of my statement is inaccurate?

Times change.

What was relevant in 2006 or even 2010, isn't necessarily still relevant to the site in 2015.

At least the current team are trying to bring the site up to date in a timely manner.

And it also belongs here! As I said here:

You see, since the foundry doesn't get a whole lot of traffic, I purposely posted it as well!

When I was on Team CC, I was specifically told to NEVER delete a post, but to edit the post and say that it was deleted, and if needed, link to the duplicate post/thread. What you have done blake by deleting the post was tell everyone that the powers to be are hiding something that they don't want the community to know about. It's like "You'll know what's in the law when it's signed". How well did that turn out for us? Yes, that's right, Obamacare! Or should I say CCCare!

This post is absolutely absurd. The mod guidelines have changed since then, with the upgrade to the mod tools that keep deleted posts visible to mods after they have been deleted.

Do remember that sometimes things change.

I won't even go into your opinion on politics.
