So, as you've probably heard, the TDs are exploring the possibility of using autotournament "infrastructure" (for lack of a better word) for community tournaments, and we're offering prizes - including credits and stars - for those brave souls who are willing to be our guinea pigs.
Now, me being me, I've decided that I want to see how far this "infrastructure" can go, so I'm going to host a tournament on Beta maps with my favorite medal hunting settings: 1v1 (2-player-standard) Manual Initial Troops Freestyle Nuclear Spoils Unlimited Reinforcements Fog Trench 20 Round Limit
Each game will be played on a map randomly chosen from the following list:
NOTE: Promontory Summit is a Beta map, but will not be used in this tourney because it does not permit Manual Initial Troops.
Each player you defeat in this tournament can give you a unique defeat for the following medals: Standard, Manual, Freestyle, Nuclear, Fog, Trench, Beta, Crossmap, and Ratings.
HOW THE TOURNEY WILL WORK: Signups will be open for 2 weeks. Everyone who signs up in that time period will be in the tournament. Each player plays each other player once - that should take about 17 rounds. In each round after that, each player will play 6 games - 3 against players he has not yet defeated, 3 against players he has not yet lost to. (Who plays who first, next, last, etc. will be determined by random.org). If you defeat a player you had not yet defeated, you are that much closer to winning the tournament and don't have to play that player again. If you lose to a player you had not previously lost to, they are that much closer to winning the tournament and don't have to play you again. However, MOST IMPORTANTLY, if you lose to a player you had not yet defeated, you go back to the end of the line, so to speak - you do not get to play that player again until each other player who had not yet defeated him has had a chance to do so. Each player will play 5 or 6 games in every round. I will keep track of who has beaten who. The first player to defeat all other players (or the first player to X-1 points, where X is the number of players in the tournament) is the winner. If multiple players achieve this feat in the same round, the first of the tied players to have defeated ALL of the other tied players wins the tournament.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask - I know this may not be easy to understand.
Again, there will be prizes for this tournament, as follows: The winner will receive a Tournament Achievement Medal and 500 Conquer Credits. Second place will receive 200 Conquer Credits. Third Place will receive a Yellow Conquer Star. Fourth Place will receive a Pink Conquer Star. Fifth Place will receive a Cyan Conquer Star.
Now, LET'S DO THIS!!!
