[GF] Organise maps based on size/ideal number of players.

Postby legionnare on Wed Jul 23, 2014 3:58 am

Concise description:
  • An option for organising the maps list by size (no. of terts) and an ideal number of players

Specifics/Details:
  • Along with the standard A-Z drop down maps list have a drop down for map size
  • Also a drop down with a suggested list of maps best suited to the amount of players you have selected i.e. 8 players selected drop down would have Monsters, Baseball, City Mogul etc.

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • Could increase the attention for those maps least seen by players
  • Easier to created/join a game based on how fast you want the game to go i.e. if you want a quick game - Doodle Earth, if you want a long game - World 2.1

We in our clan often have 12 players games to unwind between Wars and to have a bit of a laugh and bond better, this thought was inspired because I'm not sure what maps are good for 12 player games outside of Eurasia/World 2.1/First Nations/USA 2.1/WWII Europe.

Agreed.

Although, on the one hand this can be seen as just one part of a better-organised map page, it could also be adopted on its own as a stopgap.
