[XML] Shared regions

Don't know if this is possible, but would open a whole new world to the mapmaking community.

Concise description: drop on one territory and the other one(s) gets troops too. If attacked, both regions lose same number of troops. When attacking, both regions lose same number of troops, and if successful, troops from both regions are advanced (3 on territory A and 3 on territory B are still 3 troops). Reinforcing works the same way.

Example: (imagine this as a whole map)

Image

fig 1: B is attacked (and can attack) from/to A & C
fig 2: B is attacked (and can attack) from/to D,E,F,G,H,A,J,K

Both B's and A's are the same territory and share the same number of troops.

To clear things: Attacking from H to A on the right, means attacking A on the left also. Territory named A has exactly same troops on both sides and both are deducted when getting attacked, and the attacker gains both of them. Just like polymorphic, but with territories!

To clear things #2: Imagine a map with teleports! You kill one side of a teleport device, and you don't have to kill neutrals on the exit side of the device, because your troops are already there!

This is similar to conditional attacks but it's a level more.

First of all, what map making community?? The foundry is effectively deader than a door knob! Second, if you can get BW to do something else for the foundry other than Transformations - which when I was a CA we didn't want, we wanted stuff like conditional bombardment/autodeploy. IMHO, the boss man is doing the things HE wants!

You didn't say a single thing wrong, but after all, IT IS HIS site, isn't it? Can't blame him when I'd probably do the same thing(s). I think I would have an ear on community, but my changes (ideas) would probably come first.

While true, I know for a fact that the impression he has given is "my way or the highway". He had promised us CA's that he was going to get some things done for the foundry, but the only thing to happen was Transformations, then he got side tracked quite a bit by giving us Inventory which does what for us?? But I digress, this is the suggestion forum.

This sounds like a unique and fun idea that could open new dimensions to maps.
