Hey..<insert Deity here> freak...none of these games have you in them...why does it bother you so...Ratings are subjective and yes some pps are sore losers but why the post? Did he bad-mouth a multi or are you just lost for something to do on the site gamewise and decided to vent your spleen...really, the players involved should post if it concerns THEM!

Or... thanks to the OP for pointing out a potential risk to one's ratings, should one care about them.
This player is showing a pattern of 5 stars if he wins, 1 if he loses, which is abuse of the ratings system in my view [-X . I shall be adding him to my foe list so that I don't receive unjust ratings.

Foed over potential ratings abuse? Wow.

I'm with canetoad DJ. What made the OP trawl through ratings like that. Looking for something he could believe in, rather than the far fetched tale of the carpenter with a lot of male friends and perforated hands.

WHY DO WE STILL HAVE A NON WIN/LOSS DEPENDANT RATINGS SYSTEM?????

Lol, I love it. DJ and Bogan both post dickhead comments here on something they are not involved in yipping about a player posting here about something they are not involved in.

I was just curious as to why a player in one of my games (riskmasta102) had a 3.7 rating. He has two excellent ratings, and a full 1-Star from the accused. So now this new player has a terrible rating simply because he beat somebody and they're sore about it.

Also, I'm glad to have offended everybody enough so that it warrants comments about my spleen and insults on my beliefs. I'll have to entertain you all again sometime ;)

@friendly!...WELL,,,it's a fair bit easier to get your C&A Reports than it is to trawl thru someone's game who [played someone you may play but for ratings to check those ratings...sheesh
and I did see the irony inherent in posting on this but shame you (maybe) missed it by ironically posting on my ironic posting?
As for Bogan...he'll say anyone if it gives him a chance to call me a canetoad...something to do with EnZedders and sheep, I suppose...
Plese, this is a CHEATING AND ABUSE FORUM not a someone I sorta met has hurt feelings from someone who I've never met but didn't like person one, sort of forum???

He's been warned for ratings abuse before. Also secret diplomacy. I doubt this an unfamiliar process for him given his style of playing on this site.

WHY DO WE STILL HAVE A NON WIN/LOSS DEPENDANT RATINGS SYSTEM?????

So that people can appreciate your play, even if you don't win. The win percentage tells you how often they win; the ratings tell you how they played the game.
What alternative would you propose to allow identification of playing (or rating) styles that you might wish to avoid? Wouldn't you want to know if someone is a likely truce breaker or teammate killer? You may not be bothered, and are prepared to take on all comers: but would you concede that not everyone sees their games the same way?
Those of us from the world of data would, by nature, see an unusually low number and be curious as to its origin. As someone who plays just for fun, and only has limited games, I would certainly check out a 3.7 rating, and foe someone whose attitude - in this case borne out by their ratings left - suggests they are not likely to be enjoyable for me to play.
As has been discussed elsewhere, people foe for very personal reasons, and it's not something that anyone else should declare to be right or wrong.

You can add this game to the list: Game 13955067

Couldn't figure out why he'd rate 1's other than being a sore loser.

Ha ha ha this is a great example: Game 14058323. In this game his opponent didn't play a single turn, missed 3 turns and got kicked out for missing too many turns. And then the accused rates this deadbeat with 5 stars. How can you give someone who hasn't played a single turn ever 5 stars for gameplay? LOL!

Your fault dear Brig Timmy. Stop farming weak players in the...Luxemburg map(!). Use doodle instead. Luxemburg is too complex and it is unfair to unexperienced players. You definately deserve the 1 star in attitude lol....

Anyone who plays this game long enough knows that some ratings are unfair or not applicable. If I see a low rating that concerns me, I will check the ratingss box and look into it. Is it one player or many in a pattern? The player has a chance to enter a response to explain, and there is a link to the game if I want to investigate further. I don't worry about a few crazy raters, but if you don't want that to happen to you, then avoid/foe them.

too bad the checkboxes dont' have 'ratings abusers' to check, and there's no comment section for the reviewer to leave with more detail/explanation. it is what it is.

Aye, fair enough, but the C&A threads are good ways to find out who has been warned (or possibly banned if they've done it again in this case) for such abuse.

filopo has received a 72 hour ratings ban which should be increased to 1 month after a review by admin.

I was going for nuke/trench medals on that one. Point taken, but I'd say the small map and settings make it a game of luck in which I stood to lose much more than gain.

As for the outcome of this review, it seems to be somewhat fair and about all that can be done. Unfortunate that his poor ratings can't just be removed.
