Should we be allowed to directly play on the traitor territory? Or not be allowed to play from it before the following turn? I might be in favour to have to wait a turn to ballance things a little..

i say strait away.

that's the thing, you just don't know they'll turn coat and start attacking you.

Seems this could do with some playtesting tbh
Plenty of different opinions and strategies being tossed around already, and it's not even a playable option!
Could be that an auto stack of 3/4/5/6 would be ideal rather than the troops sat there.

I have no problem with that, but as doom said, all the little tweeks discussed here should be beta tested to find the best ballance.

If only there was a way to get a suggestion beta tested before going live. O:)

The problem is that what we send out to be coded has to already be completed. We need to Beta test with our friends. I am going to a game convention in November, I am sure I can find some willing bodies to play a few rounds.

what versions are you going to test?

  1. acquire the enemies terit & all troops
  2. acquire the enemies terit with half troops (rounded up, min of 3)
  3. acquire the enemies terit with 3 troops

please let us know.

i prefer the first option but think 2. would make a decent compromise if 1. was unwieldy.

How did you get on ?
Personally I like option one. I would love to pinch someone's stack that they had build for 100 rounds would be so cool.

greenoaks wrote:Revolution Spoils

Concise description:
  • When a set is cashed the territories on those cards that you don't control revolt

Specifics/Details:
  • Cashing a spoil gives you that territory with whatever troops were on it
    or
  • Cashing a spoil gives you that territory with half of whatever troops were on it, rounded down, minimum of 1

How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
  • This will alter the way troops are deployed in games. It has similarities with Nuclear in that you are concerned you could lose the troops if an opponent cashes but with this game type the troops don't disappear, they can be used against you.

greenoaks wrote:similar to my Zombie Spoils suggestion but you end up owning the troops instead of them going rogue (neutral).

this is one of those suggestions i wish i'd thought of myself.

it is possible i'd vote for this to be implemented before mine :-$

New Spoils "Defection"

Postby JWO2008 on Sat Mar 08, 2014 2:16 pm

When you use spoils any territory that was not owned by you becomes yours through defection.:
[list]

Two thoughts any new territory would either get all armies on that territory or they would get three armies on the territory.:
[list]

Just one more interesting way to play.:

something more modern
drone, satellite,
traded cards reveals fog for that territory only i like. longer the game goes on the more of the map revealed.
is there anyway to combine spoils say this with nuke
now that would be cool

This is a cool idea. Obviously I think some game types would not work with it but so far CC doesn't seem to keep certain types of games from being played like large map escalating trench multiplayer games that last forever or Nukes where a card could be worth much more than average on an objective map.

Has anyone brought up the implications of these spoils on certain objective based maps? What if I got the sanctuary card on AOR2 took it over and won? Or what if I take over Forbidden Lands in Krazy Kingdoms and can now bombard all your territories for an easy win. I guess it would have the same risky feel that speed freestyle games have. As long as people enjoy it I'm all for it.
