I believe the second scummiest player to be IB, for the reasons I posted earlier. I certainly don't think there's enough to lynch him, but the fact that he has pushed more than anyone for a bandwagon of some sort (pushing and questioning anything that talks to him). He seems to believe that a no lynch really isn't an option.

Now, I know that I'm town and pressure on me won't help anyone any, but of course you'd have to believe me for that . But I definitely would be the most obvious choice for pressure votes, and I will gladly (well, not gladly but i will) claim.

But my vote if nothing arises will be going on IB. He seems to be edgy and trying too hard to be town.

Fast posted by hotshot...

I re-read your post loot, and I read that you didn't want a case but ill keep that up there anyways.

My reads on the town are that I want to see several people post more (nag/benga and others to a lesser extent) and I have a gut feeling about either IB or mets, but I'm not sure. (I'm good at maing enemies eh?) as for you... You seem to post moderately and always with a sense of... I don't know, leadership. That's good. We need people like that to kick life into the game. I feel you are likely town.

Show me where I pushed anyone at anytime for a bandwagon? Where did I mention no-lynch? Talk about half truth and misinformation.

I apologize, I meant to say that it seems like to you no lynch isn't an option. Personally I feel it's the best option after a pressure vote to get something out of day 1, especially since we have few leads, but that could just be me.

And yes a bandwagon for people to jump on myself or mets so as that you keep your hands clean and get the focus on someone. Again this could be how you play but from my point if view you seem to be jumping at people and trying to center people out. That's not necessarily a bad thing but me being town and being pressured by you quite a bit, it seems you're trying too hard to get a mob mentality and a lynch.

I didn't catch this on my first read through...NoSurvivors, why do you think that a "no lynch" is a good choice? Lootifer was right, we aren't using our only ability to kill scum, which is the lynch/vote. No lynch is NOT a good option, as there will be a run off if there is a tie...and no lynch gives us no info, nothing to verify later in the game.

I'm tired of sitting on the fence waiting for something to develop. Vote NoSurvivors

Your whole post above smells of scum to me. I'm not buying the "oh, I'm so scummy, but I'm town" bit. Nor do I like how you just kissed butt on Lootifer...smells of buddying to me. So, I'm calling your bluff that you'd be happy to claim...

But we haven't even pressured anyone today, for you to start talking about a "no lynch." You're my best lead...and it's not because of Iron. I find your posts to carry the slight odor of scum.

Why is no-lynch in this conversation again?

I asked a legitimate question of you. No more no less. Its how you play mafia. Its how you draw people out. You have been playing mafia for some time so none of this is new to you. You know that one has to be very careful in what they say and in how they say it. Your previous post is a prime example.

IF you are Town no one else knows you are Town, so this whole notion that because I put pressure on you I am doing something wrong is ludicrous.

Normally, I play Devils Advocate and root for the underdog... But... well. A lot of good points are being made about you, NoS. And the fact that SEVERAL people feel the same way might mean one or two of them are scum, but that means townies are getting the vibe too.

Vote Count

NoSurvivors (2) - Lootifer; Nebuchadnezer
Benga (1) - Anarkistsdream;

With 16 alive, it takes 9 to lynch. Deadline is Monday, 24th February @ 1800 GMT. If the vote count were to remain as so at deadline a NoSurvivors would be lynched.

According to your rules, there has to be a majority turnout to have a lynching... I don't think 3 votes is a majority turnout... so why would NoS be lynched if it ended now?

Well, since someone is going to get lynched one way or the other, as I've said before right now with no real cases I'd go with a scummarizing person. To me Benga seems to be doing the most scummarizing... he has only posted once since the end of joke voting, a "I'll read up and post later" post with no followup. He has posted a few times in other mafia threads though, so he's been around. So for that I'll vote Benga

and i agree with safari ^^^^^^ (see post above) ^^^^^ chances are that its just town argueing with town and maffia are laying low and laughing at the townies fighting eachother, i lolled at the possibility of 3 maffia pointing fingers at eachother, that probably actually is a great way to play it, but i think thats to farfetcht (or something like that). I hate day 1... takes a long time and its like finding a needle in a haystack, or maybe harder because you dont have a clue how the needle or the haystack look like (what roles we have got etc).

I suppose... I mean it would make a lot more sense that mafia are letting us get up in arms about everything going on while they laugh at us... I'm not sure though. Worst comes to worst we can pressure someone who isn't as active and get something out of the day

Any half decent scum (or any player really) will not sit back and let the others argue scum want to much things up if they can, or appear townish my contributing. Scummarining is a crap theory to use to identify scum.

While it's true that sometimes a scum will post more often than normal to appear town, at least they are posting and it's possible to catch them on things. A scum who doesn't post hardly at all however will be very hard to catch, and a town who hardly posts at all is no help... so either way getting them involved is a good thing. And the easiest way to get them more involved is to be suspicious of or vote them

You replace people who can't be bothered to play, not vote for them. I don't think I've had you in a game I've modded hotshot, but most the others will know I am quite happy to modkill inactives. Anyhow, I'll leave it alone for now, but IGMEOY.

Not to get too meta, but certain players have a habit of acting like a leader in general. This can be a good cover for mafia if the player is skillful at this.

With players who have played a lot, getting a read on differences from their playstyle can be a clue that they are not town.

I think prodding benga will be a good idea, and given he has had some activity in other games, I hope he will rejoin the discussion.

I don't understand the pressure on NoS for the no lynch discussion. Here is his post again.

These are my sentiments as well, and I want to point out that at no point is NoS advocating a no lynch right now. One can infer that since no pressure claim has come, he is not in favor of a no lynch right now either.

I assume that Neb is referring to that part of NoS's post.

No lynching can be an option if we have gotten sufficient claims or other information from Day 1. It has happened in several games after one or two claims. Again, I don't see NoS advocating for a no lynch right now. This to me says Neb is trying to push a bandwagon and probably skimming a bit too.

I have just read back through all the posts looking for anything that would give me a real reason to vote. Becuase i havent played with you guys before i dont really know what is normal behaviour and unusual but there is one thing stands out for me. Anarkistsdream and safari guy both tried to railroad me into a vote supposedely for being new and then when it didnt work withdrew the vote as a joke vote. Was this the case or was it two mafia getting a quick post in on somebody they knew to be town with nothing to lose.
If the railroad works they get rid of a townie and possibly another through the night.
If it doesent they have got a couple of posts in and throw suspicion somewhere else.
Like I say i dont know what constitutes normal behaviour and apart from that no other evidence to suspect anyone.

It was most likely a joke vote. It's pretty common for people to jokingly make fun of/vote the new guy.

Don't apologize, dude! It is your responsibility and obligation to call people out in this game... It is the reason why a lot of people get frustrated and "don't like this game." You are going to be picked on and accused of stuff, and most likely will have to defend yourself several times... People get their feelings hurt, but this is a game ABOUT accusations...

With that being said, I will of course unvote Benga

And will vote KGB for scummarining

@ crasp yes joke voting at the beginning of the game is normal on this forum so im pretty sure they were jokevoting especially since i have played with these guys before.
@ jonty, (sure he will read it when bolt en red) bit selective in your prodding ? :P i get prodded for not reacting for 1 day, which in my opinion is a reasonable time not to react, and others who havent posted for a longer period of time havent been prodded ? (no offense just wanted to note that, maybe missed my post) And is possible to get the voting system you posted on page 4 as a spoiler on the first page, so its easy to find and clear for everyone, aswell as an update on the replacements if you add it (metsfanmax being in). All if its not to much work of course. Just to check because its not clear for me from the description on page 4: I can change votes during the runoff period right: (example i first vote A, runoff starts, i want to change to person B, my vote is not "locked in")

So on topic.
we are getting close to the deadline, i feel like if we dont get a clear case / reasonable majority (3 / 4 or more votes on 1 person) but more like 2 votes i think we should try to go for a draw in votes to initiate the run off. 3 vs 5 votes would be ok for me but i dont want a lynch to be two people with 2 votes, one guy with 3, and 4 with 1 vote to go down on the guy with 3 votes, in that case i would prefer everyone to be able to cast a decisive vote. get my thinking?

So far i only noted some people who i have a pro-town feeling with so who i would not like to vote, and to get his attention since he also promised to reread and come with more, i will vote newguy.

oh forgot, sorry for double post
I get the feeling from tone and reactions of others that NoS is not new to the game and played with some of you before, is that correct? I havent played with him before, so want to know to make up my mind on his posts. (not nescesarily now but possibly in the future)

With 16 alive, it takes 9 to lynch. Deadline is Monday, 24th February @ 1800 GMT. If the vote count were to remain as so at deadline a 24 hour run-off would be enforced.

kgb007, nagerous & virus90 have been prodded.

You missed my vote here... although you knew it was a 2-2 tie to cause a runoff lol

Anarkistsdream wrote:Don't apologize, dude!

Is there a reason you think KGB is scummarizing more than Benga? By unvoting Benga, NoS is now back in the lead with 2 votes, and everyone else having single votes, which would result in NoS being lynched and no runoff if it stays this way.

i think it being saturday its a bit to early to try to make a draw, its distracting from the discussion, we have atleast 1 more full day, and if the gap between the person who is voted the most and the person who is 2nd is still 1 vote it is easy for anyone to close the gap and force the run-off period

I agree with virus that when people only have 1 or 2 votes it is really a straw man to talk about any one person's vote being responsible for the lynch. It would be very difficult to get scum information from a two-person lynch unless some strange circumstances happened.
