It would be really fun to do a real time mafia over mumble.
You could structure it with a Day channel and a Night channel.
In the Day channel there would be several open sub-channels. (Meaning players in the different open sub-channels can talk-to/hear those in other open sub-channels.)
There would be an "undecided" sub-channel, and a sub-channel for each living player. At the beginning of each day, everyone starts in undecided. As discussion continues and people feel like voting, they simply move to that player's named sub-channel to cast their vote. In this way all players can vote/unvote in real time as discussion continues. And everyone can clearly see in the channel tree how many votes for each player and the order the votes were cast.
In the night room there are closed sub-channels.(Meaning players in different closed sub-channels can NOT talk-to/hear those in other closed sub-channels.)
Each player would go to an separate closed sub-channel. The game moderator would then visit each closed sub-channel individually to collect the night actions.
[Alternatively, players could send their night actions to the moderator via private message and wait in the Day channel.]
