Newguy and kgb both had the opportunity to hammer me and have ample justification, yet they did not, even though the repercussions would have been nearlu nonexistent, so I believe they are town. Iron Butterfly is so aggressive and nit picky, few mafia get away with that without overplaying their hand... he is town, if that is to be reasoned. James is still crazy, basically agreeing with far too many people without having TOO much new info to bring... That would most likely make him town. That leaves fir and TWO. They are old school and have been playing this for years. They are argumentative and pushy, but never truly accusatory. They nitpick other arguments and play devils advocate but never really try to start a push in any given direction. They have also had no contact through posts in this game... have they ever said anything to one another? They are also both on the site fairly often, especially around the time of night. I firmly believe at least one, if not both, is mafia... Vote: TWO

Well there. I would like you to think of my personality first and then read over what you just wrote. I honestly don't think anything you have said is anything really unlike me. I can't recall the last time you and I have played here together but I do believe me throwing around whatever I feel is scummy is something that I do. I personally go by a policy of trying to find scum not by focusing on one prime target, and looking at all the scummy things everyone is doing and seeing who is being the scummiest of all. Even with that I have pushed for whom I think is the mafia. I have stated it multiple times and I don't think you can't say I'm not pushing in a given direction. In fact you yourself noted this yourself:

We all know who I think first and fore most should be lynched. However I'm not going to make this day all about me and my idea of who should be lynched. I am fine lynching scum whoever that is. i thought Nark's weekend post/case was rather underwhelming against TWO (and fir to a lesser degree) considering he opened D2 with strong suspicions..

seeing how we're basically stuck in neutral, we can push for a claim but I don't know much good that'll do, recapping what I believe/feel, I still think Nark is town - nothing's changed there

I too want to lynch scum but how do we get to that point? i've never done a speed lynch before so I don't know the mechanics and when it would be appropriate to do so like new guy1 suggested

i'm for getting another claim unless someone else has a better idea? if I had to cast my vote against someone for a claim/lynch it would be IB at this point given newguy1's case and the bickering between he and Fir today but i'll wait for other opinions on what to do

Woah! Hold on there. Nowhere in that was my reason I'm not voting IB. The reason I'm not voting IB is because the day reset and I never really thought to put my vote back on him. If you want to see it, here it is: Vote: IB I believe that puts IB at L-2 for whatever that's worth.

We find whoever is most scummy and try to lynch them? It doesn't seem that hard to do. Personally I think IB is the best choice here. Some people may disagree but for what it's worth I think that's the best chance.

It's actually a very safe claim in my opinion. Considering how there is likely no roleblocker in this game it makes it easy for a mafia to be able to claim. However it really is possible to me in this game. I personally say it's a lie. The fact that he blocked Greg seems suspect since he's a confirmed dead townie. Not to mention I'm not sure WHY he would go after Greg. His limited posting doesn't seem like a very good reason to me.

Spiesr I have a question, for a roleblocker to be able to block the mafia kill can they target either of the mafia members, or do they have to target the mafia member designated for the kill?

There is a difference between a "basic game" and spiesr stating that this will be a relatively simple game intended to be noob friendly. Granted there are a limited number of permutations for roles to keep the game balanced between mafia and town but I would also not assume anything about what is or is not present in this game role wise.

taken from page 3 when nark threw out speculation on game setup, maybe a partial bread crumb..? i don't think any of us were expecting a roleblocker claim

not sure if i believe it given the flavor spec, even if greg was still alive, he woulda blocked a VT

this was the problem i faced when I was a roleblocker in my most recent game, i could only block one person so unless i guessed correctly (which only happened on the last night and we lost anyway - thanks again new guy LOL), it doesn't clear that roleblocked person from being mafia if one of his scum buddies carried out the kill instead

To me, I think IB's claim is fake. As already stated, I think it is just a really safe claim for mafia to make as the predictable roles are doc or cop. With this said, his role is a role that combines the cop and doc role in a very lose way of thinking because he can block the kill and in turn inform us who the mafia is, making those two roles into one and giving the aspect that the mafia can choose not to kill and frame someone. I do find it a little suspect that he blocked a dead townie, because while shit happens, it is quite convenient. I would like to request an extension just so we dont make any quick decisions that we regret later.
