I am sorry for going a bit AWOL guys, nipped out after the joke vote stage and then uni hit. And Im what at L-2 now? Still I don't see a particularly great need to claim just yet unless my people are much more serious about this case.
Besides that, I don't see much use in trying to guess based on the theme. Partly because it kinda feels like gaming the system but mostly because we kinda have nothing to go off so far. We can guess on the characters that could be, but there could also easily be characters reserved for fake claims and so that whole line of speculation feels like it's going down a blind alley right now. Maybe when the game has developed more and we know the kind of roles and mechanics that are out there we cn start drawing up a list, but at this point it's blind guessing at what Commander might do.
The other things that jumped out at me and people were seemingly fine with.

I have been at a loss as to how to approach day one. How do you "hunt" scum when there really are no scum per say but factions?
The death of one player could mean the win condition for another player.
In many ways a lynch has more consequences in this game then a regular mafia game.

Incidentally, I get the feeling allegiances will probably change in the course of the game, could make it difficult to pin down whether someone's claim is town or not.
There are partial and full victory requirements, but the majority of people's victory requirements will be town aligned. Finding people who have a different interest or purpose is the point of mafia. Factions yes, but it's still a mafia game.
Also safari's comment abotu allegiance swaps also raised an eyebrow.
