I have had a GA medal approved for this tournament. It will be awarded to the pupil who terminates the greatest number of unique students.
I have applied for and been granted 2 further GA medals
lindax already approved a medal for most kills across 3 rounds.
On reflection I think it is a pretty decent accomplishment to top the leaderboard for Round 1 and 2, out of 120 and 80 players respectively. DJ Teflon agreed, so there will be a GA medal for the winner of each of the first two rounds.
So that is, according to my understanding):
1) A GA medal for the player with the most unique terminations (over 3 rounds) i.e. (Total Terminations - Duplicates);
2) A GA medal for the player with the most kills over 3 rounds;
3) A GA medal for the player with the most points in year 1;
4) A GA medal for the player with the most points in year 2.
I think the winner of 1) will also have the most terminations, so I think that if it is the same player, it should go to the player with the most points in year 3, otherwise year 3 will not count for too much given the larger number of players in year 1 and 2.
Also, to confuse the situation, Steve also wrote "At the end of year 3, the player with the best overall academic record (i.e. the most points in their final year) will win the tournament."
My recommendation is:
1) A GA medal for the player with the most unique terminations (over 3 rounds) i.e. (Total Terminations - Duplicates);
2) A GA medal for the player with the most points in year 1;
3) A GA medal for the player with the most points in year 2;
4) A GA medal for the player with the most points in year 3 - Overall Tournament Winner.
Comments greatly appreciated and I will consult with the TD's about this.
