Changes
This tournament hasn't been running as smoothly or as quickly as I would like, so I'm implementing the following changes:
Blind/Ante Structure ChangesEach round will be now 8 hands instead of 10. The blind levels will be as follows:
Blinds/Antes Round SB BB A ------ chip units: 1, 5, 25, 100, 500, 1000
1 1 2 -
2 2 4 -
3 3 6 -
4 5 10 1
5 10 20 2
6 15 30 3
7 25 50 5 (1 unit chip removed prior to round 7)
8 40 80 10
9 60 120 15
10 100 200 25 (5 unit chip removed prior to round 11)
11 150 300 25
12 250 500 50
13 350 700 75
14 500 1000 100 (25 unit chip removed prior to round 15)
15 600 1200 100
The only changes from the original structure are an earlier introduction of antes, and the removal of (what was originally) round 7.
That change is relatively minor compared to the one below.
Hand PlayStarting with the next hand at each table, when a hand begins I will send a PM to each player involved in the hand. Each player
may send a return PM describing what s/he desires to in the hand in certain situations. When that player's turn comes up, I will use that information to share your action in the thread.
For example:
I send out this PM to everyone:
The last hand finished! <results of last hand>
The next card is <name of map>. Player1 is the button; Player2 is SB for <SBvalue>; Player3 is BB for <BBvalue>. Action is on Player4. Player4 please act at your table <link to table's thread>. All other players should check at their table if it's their turn before responding to this PM.
If it is not your turn yet, you may respond to this PM with what you will conditionally want to do when it is your turn.
Thanks,
D-Rock
Here is what I expect some typical responses to look like:
If no one raises before it gets to me, I raise to 50.
If someone raised to less than 50 before my turn, and no one else called, I call.
In all other situations, I fold.
That's the worst map! I fold no matter what.
I love that map! I'm all-in no matter what.
These can be as simple or as complicated as you want, as long as they flow logically.
Amount of Time to ActI had been allowing each player 24 hours (or more, as my schedule allowed) to act. With these changes, this will be changed to 12 hours(or more, as my schedule allows), with a minimum of 24 hours from the beginning of the hand to the end (the table as a whole will have at least 24 hours to send their conditional actions or act in thread). The 24 hour time limit will commence when I send the PM to the table members, the individual 12 hour time limit begins when the previous person's action is posted in the thread,
NOT when I acknowledge it.
If it is your turn, act. You are not required to, nor should you, wait for me to acknowledge it is your turn. Your clock begins immediately after the person before acts.
Increased PenaltiesIf you miss a turn in a hand you will be marked sitting out. You will also be forced to be sit out the next hand as well. If you miss a 2nd hand, you will be forced to sit out then next 2 hands. Miss a 3rd hand, forced to sit out the next 3 hands, and so on.
If you're going to be away, or for any other reason, you may voluntarily sit out and return at any time. If you are voluntarily sitting out, unless you request otherwise, I will send your table's hand-beginning PM. If you are sitting out as a penalty, I will not send it, that'd just be rubbing salt in the wound.
TL;DR:
- More antes, less rounds.
- PMs at beginning of each hand from D-Rock.
- Check your table's thread to see if it's your turn.
- If it is not your turn, you may send your conditional actions to D-Rock42 through PM.
- Less time to act per hand
- Increased penalties for missing your turn.
