Right now the size of yours make the map with army numbers look weird. I know it's annoying to replace all your circles (I did it on my map with more territories!) but it is worth it.
2. I think instead of 29 territories which is not divisible by 3,4,5 or 6. Add one more country. I think it is especially important here, because of the small number of countries total.
With 29, In 6 person game each player has 4 territories with 5 neutral territories. In 5 person game each player has 5 countries with 4 neutral territories. 30 is much better.

2. it is 28 terretories, count better
KEYOGI wrote:Something I just noticed is there are 29 territories, which you can't divide with 3, 4, 5 or 6. If you add just one more territory, you'll only get neutrals in a 4 player game.
Some of your borders are looking a bit jagged, the Shenyang/Dead territory border in particular. You could probably use a bit more definition in the legend as well. A small shadow or outline to the text will perhaps fix it up. Apart from those little things, the map is shaping up nicely Wisse.

I still feel the costal borders are an area of concern. I'm not sure the effect you're going for works too well.
And yes, having 28 territories is better than 29.
I don't know what you did, but photoshop will not stretch or move a layer if you don't want it to. If you make an army circle layer in photoshop (or take the PNG file in the post http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17823) you will not have number issues.Wisse wrote:edbeard wrote:1. 1)Put that in you large map and save the picture. China.L.jpeg
2)Then turn off the army shadow layer. Save the picture as China.LS.jpg.
3)Then open it back up and shrink it down to the correct size. Save as China.Snocircles.jpg
By doing this you scale all layer effects. The small version is EXACTLY the same as the large version.
4)Then add the same army circles over the top and you will not have problems. Save as China.S.jpg.
This is what I did for the 8 Thoughts and Great Lakes. There have been no complains (with army numbers) after this was done.

1, some of the borders that touch the water...they just look odd. I'm not sure if I'd like a simple black border or not, but it is just something that catches my eye.
2, I think long ago I mentioned also the mountains feel too..graphical...3D like..and not with this paper almost, feel. You know? The wall isn't too bad, but it is close to it.
But other than those, I really enjoy the look of the map.
