nibotha[cleared]SN

Postby MrPanzerGeneral on Fri Jul 27, 2012 4:46 am

Accused: nibotha

The accused are suspected of: Account Sitting Abuse.

Game number: [game]Game 11437808 [/game]

2012-07-27 19:54:40 - Game has been initialized. (slickstick/nibotha..accepted tourney game invite)
2012-07-27 21:02:14 - slickstick: nibotha 4 slickstick
2012-07-27 21:02:20 - slickstick received 4 troops for 14 regions (ie:Turn taken)

Comments: More a query about Account Sitting Rules.....I'm a bit rusty on them....obviously nibotha is looking after slicksticks account.....I have no qualms about that....but I always thought it was bad form to join games...especially tournaments, whilst you were "sitting".... I realise that one may have to, to keep tournies moving along....but joining and then straight away playing a turn ?? Not on in my book ! Could have quite easily explained any situation, which I would have been willing to accommodate.

Quick take on this: It was Round 2 of a tourney game. Nib has been taking ALL of slickstick's turns lately. He's getting them in when he can. He didn't JOIN a new tourney, he simply accepted an invite to an existing tourney. This is actually how sitting is supposed to be done: user leaves, one other user sits and plays games in a responsible manner until original user returns. .02

OK , that's sweet....understood. He (Neb) couldn't wait for slipstick to accept the invitation within 24 hours (as HE (neb - the sitter) would be off line from the time of acceptance for the next 24 hours, so he accepted it for him - no worries there !
But then he couldn't wait for slipstick to take a turn within 24 hours of his (Neb's) accepting , because slipstick will be off line for the next 48 hours from the time of invitation ?)...... :) Tell me if I've got that right :)

Hi

Just a note from side, i have requested that nibotha check my games from Tuesday to Thursdays, if i am low on time, as i am up in the Lesotho highlands at those times, and the towers are working with solar panels there, so if the weather is bad, i either get no reception or very poor, so at a stage i was missing turns due to this fact.(this arrangement was from 2 weeks ago, when i moved back to South Africa for the other days of the week, prior to that he was checking on a regular basis)

I concur.
It's near the Drakensburg Mountain range, and since we're still in Winter here in the Southern Hemisphere, I can quite easily comprehend that the weather is terrible and they aren't getting much in the way of sunlight either!

I've checked the rules again, just to be sure. And joining tournament games is allowed. Nibotha is cleared.

If you guys want to talk about out the weather, this is not the appropriate forum.

well sorry if it's a spurious complaint and sorry for wasting mods time.....so it's OK to take turns for others whenever then ?
eg: when their not in immediate danger of missing turns ? ie: slickstick turned up himself online right after Neb' took turns for him ?

edit - sorry.... I see the rules now...

Account-Sitting:

Players are allowed to account-sit for others as long as they are not opponents within the game. When sitting for a player, it is common courtesy to post who you are and how long you will be sitting for the player so that other players in the game are aware of who they are actually playing.
Being on another player's account for ANY reasons other than taking turns when they are in danger of missing a turn, or posting to necessary Tournament or Clan related public forum topics, is not allowed. Abuse of this privilege can be considered account sharing and could result in a Bust for both accounts.
