This will be a standard single elimination 1vs1 tourney with four qualifying rounds. Only 1 round will be played at a time so you will only need 1 slot open. The tournament will consist of 4-8 games in total for each player.
SETTINGS: Maps: Classic and USA West Game Type: Standard Initial Troops: Automatic Play Order: Sequential Spoils: Flat Rate Reinforcements: Chained Fog of War: Yes (See Red Light Rule) Round limit: 20 Rounds
RACE RULES:
Qualifying: Players will be seeded using random.org for first qualifying run Highest qualifier(1) will face the lowest(24), second highest(2) will face the second lowest(23) etc for the first qualifying run (Q1). After each qualifying run players qualifying order will be adjusted based on how they did in previous qualifying round. Two games will be played on each of the two maps. Qualifying Runs 1 and 3 will be on Classic Qualifying Runs 2 and 4 will be on USA West Seeded is determined by the least amount of rounds to win a game. If you win a game in 8 rounds you would be credited with a 8 (Rounds in game). If you lose a game in 8 rounds you would be credited with a 33 (40-Rounds in game+1). The player with the lowest number would receive the first seed. The second lowest rounds will be used, then the third and fourth if available for any tie breakers. In case players are still tied then the player with the higher CC score will receive the better seed. In case of an odd amount of entries a player will be picked to fill in for that run. (This will not count as a run for the person filling in).
The top 16 seeds after the final qualifying round will advance to race day. The 17th and above seeds will be eliminated from that race.
RACE DAY: Once all seeds are set the top 16 seeds will continue onto race day in a 1vs1 single elimination bracket The winner of the race will be whoever wins the the finals. If for any reason someone does not join their games on race day then a random player no longer in the tournament will be asked to fill in so the other player can get a time (The player filling in cannot advance and is only there so the other player can play for lane choice in the next round).
LANE CHOICE: Lanes are the maps being played. (Classic, USA West) In qualifying lane choice does not matter since you will be playing each map twice. On race day, the higher qualifier will have lane choice in round one, he will have the choice to pick which of the two maps he will play on for the next round. For the other rounds after round one lane choice will go to the player that won their previous game in less rounds. In case of a tie then the higher seed will get lane choice.
NOTE: Players need to pick the lane they want for round one during their qualifying runs. Just say something in chat "I take Classic" or "I take USA West". After round one if you want to change your lane choice (map) just say something in chat of the previous round that you would like to change. Example: (Round 1) "I would like to change to USA West for round 2". If nothing is noted then you will keep your previously selected lane. If you never picked a lane in qualifying and your opponent does then the game will be played on the map he picked.
RED LIGHT:
A red light will occur when you do not wait 12 hours once your game is initialized or wait until your opponent mentions in chat that he has seen the board. Since the games are fog. If your opponent says something in chat then you can proceed with the game earlier. In qualifying a one time warning will be allowed. You can say in chat what you did. Example I took California from Nevada and Oregon was a neutral. All info that the player loses by you attacking needs to be given. If your opponent asks and you don't reply within 12 hours of ending your turn your game does not count if you win. You will receive a loss in 1 round (for seeding purposes only)and your opponent would receive a win in 20 rounds(if he ended up losing). If you mention in chat then there will be no penalty for that qualifying game and it will proceed as normal. If you don't give the correct information and your opponent mentions something at the end of they game the same rules will be applied as if you never said anything. On race day, if you do not wait you will lose the game and your opponent will advance to the next round with a win in 20 rounds(if he loses the game). You will not be allowed to say in chat what you did, you must wait for conformation or 12 hours to start your first turn or you lose.

In please.... even though you may really be overcomplicating the tourney. Round robin, seed by wins, don't lose after 4th round or go home.... bout cover it? I know it probably makes perfect sense in your head, but probably not a lot of people would want to read all of that. I read some, then just skimmed over the rest and entered. I just figure I shouldn't lose. Thanks
