This Tournament is somewhat based on the game of HORSE. I used some of WorldCup4James ideas that he used in his Pig Roast Tourney. So thanks to him for allowing me to use some of his idea. Things are not the same, but this was inspired by his logic.
This will be a 20 Player Two Round (Sort of) Tournament. Below are the way each Round will work:
Round 1: The 20 Players will be Randomly separated into 5 Sets of 4 Players. One Player will be Randomly selected to be the "Shooter". The Player selected the Shooter will be contacted via PM and that Player will submit the Map they want to use and the Settings. Any Map can be used (Random cannot be used). The Settings will be as follows:
Game Type: Standard, Terminator, Assassin - In a Terminator Game, the last Player standing Wins. Initial Troops: Any Setting Play Order: Any Setting Spoils: Any Setting Reinforcements: Any Setting Fog of War: Any Setting Round Limit: 20 Rounds Round Length: 24 Hours
Whoever Wins the First Game will become the Shooter and will select the Map and Settings for the Second Game. Everyone who Loses gets an "H". Whoever Wins the Second Game will become the Shooter and will select the Map the Settings for the Third Game. Everyone who Loses gets a "Letter". Once a Player has HORSE they are eliminated and the games continue until all but one Player is out. So there will be at least 5 Games. In the real game of HORSE, the Player that makes the first shot cannot get a letter until things cycle through. That is not the case here. If the Shooter loses, they too get a letter just like everyone else.
Two final Rules: 1. Any given Shooter can only pick a Map once throughout the entire Tournament. The Settings can be used as many times as you like. A different Shooter can select that same Map as another Shooter, so in theory the same Map could be used 5 times. 2. Random cannot be used as the Selected Map.
The Five Players who remain after all Round 1 Games are over advance to Round 2.
Round 2: Round 2 works exactly the same as Round 1, except there are only 5 Players. The games will continue until everyone is eliminated except one player.
Since each Player will only play one Game at a time, all Players are welcomed to join. There is no minimum Rank Requirement, but you must have completed 50 games. You must have at least a 97% Attendance Record. If you are under 97% or have less than 50 games, I reserve the right to allow you to play if I know you or you convince me there will not be an issue. No one under 95% will be accepted.
NOTE: Since this Tourney has not started, I am implementing another two rules. These rules are a result of something that has occurred in another one of my Tournaments. If you announce another players location in a FOGGY Game or use Foul Language, I reserve the right to not give you credit for a win and remove you from the Tourney. These are two things I find objectionable. If you do not like the rules, please feel free to remove yourself from the Tourney.
"If you announce another players location in a FOGGY Game ... I reserve the right to not give you credit for a win and remove you from the Tourney."
Hey, that's one of the risks of playing Foggy (and, in my opinion, one of the reasons Foggy sucks); it's virtually uncontrollable, anyway, so I say let it be. I don't have a problem with your rule (and I'm still looking forward to a very cool tourney!); just think it's a little "control-freakish" to interfere with results over it.
I don't do it to be "control-freakish", I just want what I consider to be fair play. And in my opinion giving away some one else's position in a Fog is not fair play. That is why I like Fog. So I hope everyone enjoys the Tourney, but play by the rules or don't play.
