i'm quite dissappointed in this behavior, i did everything i could to approach town in a friendly manner and all i get is this.

I'm a VT.

So, we have 3 VT claims, a cop claim that found a 3rd-party and several innocents and a 3rd-party claim (silencer).

I'll confess that coming into D7 I was inclined to hang Chap. However, with a claim of survivor, we are left with 2 scenarios:
a) Zimmah is lying and he is mafia
b) Zimmah is telling the truth, which means this is MYLO (if we mislynch today, mafia will not have a majority of the votes tomorrow)

I am not sure why nobody has been dying the last days, but the survivor claim surely is the sketchier. It is even more weird if you consider Sniper had already claimed survivor and Zimmah didn't even vote him (2 survivors in Soundman's first mafia, really?).

If the game is not over by D8, let's hope Hippo hits the jackpot (even though I doubt he'll get anything other than innocent at this point in the game)!

i didn't counterclaim because even though my role sais i need to be alive to win, regardless of which faction wins, i am not technically 'just a survivor' (i'm a silcencer) so i don't think those roles need to counterclaim each other.

Survivor silencer is different than vengeful survivor, but the thought that Soundman's first mafia would have 2 survivors (which could help mafia achieve an endgame 2 days earlier than normal) borders the ludicrous. Hence why I think one should have counterclaimed the other.

Can I just observe that you brought this fractiousness on yourself by attacking me. I'm not convinced that you are mafia though.

I am leaning towards either chap or mob being mafia (or both). Perhaps the no night kill is a plan by mafia to keep their heads low in the hope they can get a draw by getting town to wipe itself out.

I can't understand why my investigative powers didn't work earlier but can only guess I was deluded in some way by a mafia power once mafia knew I was the cop. I doubt that would happen late in the game though. So I am of the view that Rodion is innocent and I am certain that Zimmah is too. So, if it's follow the cop then follow this ... vote chap

Hippo woke to the smell of smoke. Quickly running outside he saw that the only thing left of Chap and Mob's houses were a few pieces of blackened lumber and two skeletons. With a sudden feeling of dread he realized that he was now the only one of two left, and he had been wrong. Hearing a sound behind him he turned around and came face to face with Rodion. With a wicked grin on his face, Rodion slowly advanced with some rope, gasoline, and a match. It was all too much for Hippo to take and so he blacked out, and as the light faded the last thing he saw was Rodion soaking him.

Quite frankly, the loss resulted from the arsonist's/SK's investigation-immunity power.

With Hippo's claim of cop with everyone but Edoc and you innocented and Edoc's claim of vengeful, it only sounded right to get Edoc lynched and let him kill you if he was town.

The fact that Edoc did not give you time to defend yourself is irrelevant because:
a) your VT claim would not work as a defense
b) being "2 of 3" would not work as a defense either (mafia also throws their teammate's under the bus for credit, and waving that incessantly as your "get out of jail free" card would not override the fact that you were one of two not cleared by the cop)

I honestly don't think Edoc can be blamed. Neither Hippo, for that matter.

That said, I knew Squirrel/Sniper was mafia since the end of D2 (he did not stop town from lynching the claimed doctor and he's too experienced to allow a fluke like that to happen). Unfortunately, I obviously could not argue that because people would suspect me for the same reason!

I was sure Hippo was going to say something when he got a Third Party on Zimmah the first night but he must have figured that he was the silencer.
I also thought town was going to win on the last day but then Zimmah claimed and was lynched for being third party.
Overall I thought the balance was good. Any suggestions/comments?

Also when Victor died CMS lost his roleblocking ability and gained the night kill. He did not get investigation proof.

I disagree for several reasons.

1) When I am town I towntell like a bitch and it is apparent to almost everyone else that I am town.

2) Everyone agreed I was town. Edoc told me in a PM that he knew I was town but picked me so that everyone would realize hippo's results were not correct in some way.

3) Edoc should never have picked a kill. He should have discussed the kill with town and we should have come to an agreement on who he takes with him. I would have said for him to kill Rodion, wthout reservation, and I think that Hippo and Zimmah would likely have agreed. Bottom line, I think I would have been able to convince him to take you with him if he had only given me a fighting chance.

ok so considering his role it only makes sense rodion speedhammered me.

still, the townies were not smart to lynch me without thinking about me (or even set me up for a lynch) because they were allready low in numbers so a misslynch would likely lose them the game, even if they'd lynch a 3rd party.

that's why i claimed and that's why i didn't silence anyone. i was too afraid to accidently silence a townie and make it easier for the scum.

i nejoyed this game soundman and the balance was good.

town made a bad decision lynching the non-harmfull 3rd party without any form of discusion (or rather putting it on L-1 so a scum could hammer). this would not be a big problem earlier in the game (as you'd be able to just lynch the one who hammers), but it ended up losing the game for both me and town. while lke i said, i threw all my weapons on the ground and bassically surrendered for the greater cause, they didn't want to co-operate.

but the balance of the game seemed good, every side had probably roughly equal chances and the game lasted quite long.

Investigation proof Arsonist is a bit OP with 5 non town roles. Perhaps next time we will learn from this that follow the cop is not a good idea I had hoped with enough time with the "failing" kills you could all sort it out, I did not suspect an arsonist till too late. General, I share a large amount of responsibility for the town loss but take me killing you as a sign of respect. You, Rodion and I were the 3 people I suspected of being able to fool the town for long enough to win as a loner. I chose you because if I did not town was just going to go after you like the did for me. In retrospect perhaps it would have been better to kill another and let the cop (who I wrongly assumed naive) follow through with an investigation.

Interesting set up, and man my fake claim I thought was pretty solid, maybe even a little to much detail. But I wouldn't have thought about having an actual vengeful come up and kinda screw it over... Oh well.

And the 1 night I got the kill I almost killed rodion off.
