I can't provide any credibility to Spiesr's claim.

But, something strikes me as odd about Spiesr claim. It seems awfully convenient that Leehar was his "second night target," since Leehar of course is dead at the beginning of this day and can't contribute anything. I also wonder why myself (supposedly) and Leehar (supposedly) were your targets? I'm curious as to what your rationale was behind your night action selections.

Something about this seems off, and maybe its the whole "interesting" part to the game that makes me feel so. Hm...

I believe that Zimmah has confirmed that I visited Leehar last night. As for the logic behind my decisions, since I don't know if my actions will have positive or negative effects on my targets the actual amount of logic I was able to apply to my targets was rather limited. I tried to avoid claimed players (like Hippo on night 1) on the chance that I would end up killing or role blocking the person. My choice of you on Night 1 was more or less simply gut feeling, since the lack of information available at the time made it a shot in the dark for me. Last night I chose Leehar mostly becuase of his relatively low activity.
zimmah wrote:btw i think your role is either some kind of 'upgrader' that enhanches the role of other townies with a power role. or otherwise maybe it turns mafia into town (by giving color to the blackies?)
Hmm, I doubt that I have the ability to turn scum into town, as powers of that sort are most always pretty game breaking in one way or another. Being a power enhancer of some sort is an interesting possibility that I hadn't really considered. Andy claims my action did not have any noticeable affect on him that he was informed of. (Now that could mean of myriad of things that we can't be sure of at this point in time.) I will now try to explain things to the best of my knowledge (as musch as I can while trying to avoid getting into trouble for quoting my role.) Basically I have been told that I can use my rainbow of powers on players at night to cause some sort of effect. I have been operating under the assumption of my role being akin to some sort of variant on a JOAT, but I can't really take any possibilities off the table at this point.
dazza2008 wrote:Did you ask the mod what your night actions do or would he not clarify any more than what he sent in the role pm?
Apparently it is a secret and giving me spoilers would make the game less interesting...

So it would seem I was protected which is good. Why would you wany to lose the backup cop? I can't help town now but I will be of use if the cop is killed.

Because I rarely trust backup anything (especially backup firefighter ;) )

Doesnt make sense for backup cop in this game.

Well I claimed my role at the end of day 1 so why not kill me then or try and get me lynched on day 2? I understand there was not alot of chance to do much on day 2 with a cop dead and someone who acted wierd on day 1 had claimed doc too.

N1 kill for town vig is rarely good (I dont agree, but thats the general consensus)
D2 was all about hippo. He was a much more viable target at the time and I felt one of you 2 were lying. I thought Hippo was gonna get a chance to at least talk before being lynched, but he was lynched before he could. So I figured Id use my power to shoot someone (you) and you survived.

The last game of MoBs I was in, here was how the godfather worked.

Hello [name], You are the Mafia Godfather . You have the ability to kill one person per night. You are immune at night and undetectable. You may converse with the other members of the mafia at night in secret.

Anyways, I think its funny you didnt die, but I wasnt roleblocked. Youre backup cop claim will buy you enough time here. Im not falling for it.

vote Dazza for being the scumlord godfather

I am not bulletproof so somebody protected me or you were roleblocked. How do you know you were not roleblocked? Most mods only tell you you were blocked if you need to know it(investigative roles). A Vig does not need to be told he was blocked or not does he?

Doesn't make sense :-s :?

The game has had two cops, a town rainbow and Zimmah who has not claimed but says he has some sort of role that is not normal and you say backup cop does not make sense

I realised what it was a referance to. But I don't understand why my role does not make sense to you in this game. What would make sense to you? So far it has not made a lot of sense at all and I never expected it to from the opening post.

Im totally lost here with nothing to go on.
I wasnt told I was blocked, youre alive.
You claimed cop, not bulletproof nothing.

the scene didnt say anything about busdriving.

Im trying to contribute, but like I said Im totally lost.....

scumbag

Like I said. Would you be told if you were blocked? You must have been blocked or someone protected me. In a game this size would there be another protective role? I'm not so sure so I think you must have been blocked. Or you are lying but that seems unlikely to me.

Well, this is an interesting turn of events.
First off, I have to say the following. What info the scene may contain and if you are informed upon being role-blocked are both factors that vary from mod to mod. So, just because the scene doesn't say someone was busdriven doesn't mean it didn't happen. From my experience most mods don't spell out every relevant action in the night scene. Relatedly, if you are expecting information in the night scenes for this game, wouldn't you expect of failed night to be the sort of thing that would be included in some way? As for notification on being role-blocked, I have seen that vary from only being told that "your action failed" if you were making an investigation and nothing otherwise, all the way to explicitly told "you were role-blocked" even if you have no night action.
That said, while we can't eliminate the possibility of you being blocked, redirected or something, there still stands the possibility of Dazza's survival being do to him being bullet-proof. Now, how can we go about deciding which is was?
dazza2008 wrote:So it would seem I was protected which is good. Why would you wany to lose the backup cop? I can't help town now but I will be of use if the cop is killed.
I have a question for you Dazza. Leehar was a cop and died last night. So, have you been informed if your abilities are now active?

Spiesr made the very point I was going to make. It's definitely possible if not likely that Dazza's abilities activated when Leehar was killed.

Okay, so I've reviewed the whole topic once again.

Okay, so Spiesr has been on my FOS list, as I mentioned earlier.

In regards to Spiesr:
  • It feels like he is really trying to play the 'wise townie' card from the get go, while surreptitiously trying to get votes and lynches along, especially in the meat of day game after the lull in day 1. It seems to be a balancing act between him trying to be wise and then him trying to push for votes when he can, and he's noticeably flipped back and forth between the roles.

Note: all the links say day 3 but not all are from day 3 of course, that is just the way URL is configured when you use "PM post" to grab a link and a quote easily. 2 of the posts are particularly interesting and relevant I think.
show

Dazza I think is also on my FOS list, since BGtheBrain's confusion at this game and his role seem more legitimate than Dazza's "ah, thank goodness I was saved then."

You may be onto something, BG, though we should take a look at Spiesr, he may cop a plea.

andy i'm going to throw a FOS at you. not only are you continuously avoiding my question, also you're trying to paint a claimed and confirmed townie as scum.

i'm pretty sure you're scum. if you were a VT you'd not make such a fuzz about claiming it. i have allready explained i have some info on you, and still you refuse to answer one simple question, yet you frame a townie. are you really thinking you'll get away with this?
